I think of "American anime" as being like "California champagne." There's nothing wrong with it, it can be quite good, but if it isn't from a particular place, it's not "really" champagne
That is a great way of looking at it. Its not Tequila unless it made in Tequila (or close to it), but Mezcal can taste as good. But in animes sack they are all made in the same place usually (korea) its just animes first audience and writers are usually Japaneses and "anime ripoff" first audience and writers are usually from the states, and in some cases its a mixture of the two, what do we call that?

oh really? I challenge you to a duel that it is not the best japanese anime. There are so many anime out there that are just as good. Like "Planetes", ever heard of it?
Never heard of it. Anyways it is the most popular japanese anime, the second is Naurto.
Popular does not means it good. Also it could be really popular amongst children, but that does not make it good programing for and old audience.

Bleach sucks balls (this is coming from someone that read the manga first). It suffers from the standardize never-ending-power-ninja plot structure that existed even before DBZ: its boringly predictable.

It is rated 14+ ( I don't care about ratings ). Which you see on a DVD cover is PG-13.
Correction: Forth is Bleach. Avantar is better than Bleach. Naruto can beat Bleach any day. Bleach is almost the same as Avantar, but it is aired after my bed time so I barly got to see it ( except on weekends ). Bleach is pretty cool.the second is Bleach.

Can anyone tell me why astro boy is a gay icon? It's bullshit, his astonishing physical strength was only surpassed by the strength of his moral fibre.
