I invented a scenario Olga. I was just trying to say that people can act like horrible individuals for all sorts of reasons.

Why did I risk my life to save those babies Olga? I could have died, I rejected Jesus and Heaven yet I still did it.
Am I some sort of special hero? Like Achilles who knows no fear?

You missed the point of the story. A priest stepped over him but despite bad blood between the Jews and Samaritans it was a Samaritan that helped.
Human love, solidarity. No religion needed, millions of years is far stronger.

Doesn't it bother you that this story is from the Bible? And it was Christ who said: "A new commandment I give you - that you love your friend." Instead of the old "an eye for an eye"?

Why would God change his mind so dramatically? To go from one extreme to another? To contradict His own word? To go from encouraging you to hurt others if they hurt you and then not hurt them? This certainly does put into question whether God is all knowing or not. Seems more like it was something created by men to reflect the need to go from barbaric to civilized.

Вы сами почти ответили на свой вопрос. Человечество развивается так же, как и отдельный человек. В христианстве это единый организм, называемый "Церковь Христова". Как ваше тело состоит из множества клеток, так и человечество состоит из многих людей. И если маленькому ребёнку бесполезно объяснять, что бросать камни в других нехорошо (он не поймёт почему это плохо, он поймёт это, когда получит обратку), так и человечество в целом взрослеет, и уже имеет некоторый опыт для понимания некоторых вещей. Поэтому, "око за око" - в одно время, и "возлюби ближнего своего - в другое. Человечество постигает Добро и Зло. Само так захотело.

Я православная христианка, в моей религии такого нет. Богородицу, как образ женщины и матери всего человечества, у нас почитают, как нигде в мире.
