User Infractions

I will not give infractions until and unless they are subject to a moderator's approval prior to points being assessed. This kind of thing is way too easy to abuse.

Thank you.

It's not just that the infractions might be unfair, but someone might intentionally or unintentionally shut someone down.

Effective immediately, SF Open Government is closed to all motions to ban users and all motions to take punitive action against moderators. Complaints about users can be made to moderators directly. Complaints about moderators can be made to me directly.

This forum has proven to be divisive, ineffective, and has taken the focus of members and moderators away from the core discussion forums here.

too bad the new fuckers cant take a hint
what was that saying....."doomed to repeat the mistakes of the past.."

They couldn't even grant themselves the luxury and privilege as owners to opt for a logo/banner that only they themselves would/could choose -- they had to ask. Lack of self-confidence?

I just awarded someone my first infraction...FUCK! Power feels GOOD!
Indeed.
What kind of fucking wankers are complaining about finally having some sceric of power?
How low can someone's self esteem be that they're bothered by acquiring the right to have a say?

What annoys me is that the mods can't recieve infractions, it would have made sense back when it was a jamesR dictatorship but now that there is something of a council of mods you'd expect them to be held somewhat accountable for their actions.
It would actually make more sense if mods were the ONLY ones who could recieve infractions.

One other thing, there needs to be way way more options to click for why you're giving them an infraction.

Heh!

Or you could always send the mod in question a PM asking to see their 'tatas' as a form of apology if said mod gave you an infraction.

Eh Lou?

:)

Can I just thank whoever it was who reversed the infraction I gave Lou? He didn't have the decency to return the compliment.

Oooook... So I got an invalid infraction from Dr LouNatic.
What do I do now?

Well it's already been reversed, unfairly I might add.
On what grounds do you classify it as invalid?
I found your langauge to be inappropriate.
You said "shit", and I don't believe the situation called for it.
Bottom line, valid infraction.
It's validity, in light of all other factors, is litterally factually concrete.
It's valid in accordance with the guidelines.
The fact it was reversed is what is highly questionable.

What do I do now? Now that my valid infraction has been reversed? Lose faith in mankind? Join a street gang?

This whole thing reminds one of a kindergarten game; a sort of Tag and Pin A Tail On The Donkey. Having fun boys and girls?
