About the Members Round 11: SAM

Had a gruelling seminar session. Walked for ages to clear my head. Came back and found the heater broken. Took a cold cold coooooolllllllldddddddd shower. Then fell asleep on the couch. :)

I whipped up some Mango Lassi on your recommendation, Sam. Good stuff! What next?

Do you like masala chai?

Its good stuff for winter blues (especially when you're turning blue from cold)

Stuff:

4 cups water
3 - 4 tsp tea leaves (I use Red Label)
1 chunk dried ginger
3 - 4 crushed cardamom pods
3 whole cloves
1 piece cinnamon
1 - 2 whole black peppers
sugar
milk

1. Bring the water to the boil. Add all the ingredients (except milk and sugar) and boil again for about 15 seconds. Let stand for one minute.

2. Warm milk in a pot. Filter the above tea into cups. Add milk and sugar and serve.

Statutory warning: spicy!

Another variation is to use only crushed fresh ginger (half an inch for two cups) and crush one cardamom pod. Its the lite version. :)
