    hypewaders

Here is anothe one of my favorites, its the spicy alternative to lassi, known as chaas and is a common accompaniment with meals in my fathers community.

    Stuff:

    2 cups fresh curds
1 teaspoon cumin seed powder (jeera)
    1/2 teaspoon green chilli-ginger paste
    1/2 teaspoon black salt (sanchal)
    salt to taste

    For the tempering
    1 teaspoon oil
    1/4 teaspoon mustard seeds
    a pinch asafoetida (hing)
    For the garnish
    chopped coriander

    1. Add curds (plain unsweetend yoghurt) to two glasses of ice water and blend with the jeera, chili paste and salt (if the curds are thick add more water, it should be a little watery).

    2. Heat oil, add the hing, when it browns (if oil is hot it should brown immediately) add mustard seeds (and curry leaves, if you can find them, I also add one dried red chili for the uber fragrance, but if you have a fear of chillies, you can skip it; similarly you can substitute the ginger-chili paste with black pepper powder). Add to the blended (and hopefully frothy) chaas mixture. Serve cold.

Here is a video, which is almost the same as my recipe

    Hi Sam,

    1. Would you marry a Hindu?
    2. Would you be one of a man's several wives?
    3. How many love affairs did you have in your life?
    4. Does your family know of them?
    5. What comes first to you - your country or religion?

Sure, my BIL is a Hindu and one of the finest men I know.
    Doubt it
Several, and yeah, I have no secrets

I consider them mutually exclusive, but I define myself as a Muslim Indian, not an Indian Muslim.

Actually I have a soft spot for him. He is clearly a man of compassion and principles.

I have a Masters in Foods,Nutrition and Dietetics and am currently working on my PhD in Nutrition.

Being Indian, my parents and extended families, my friends, the opportunities I have received in life and the kindness of strangers.

    To be true to myself.

We've had several intercaste marriages, but I don't recall any conversions.
The ability to let me be me.

    yeh yeh,
"you don't want a man to change you blah blah"
half the geeks on here would take you as you are, so what....you'd marry all of 'em??
    i dont think so...

what you want is a guy who makes you tingle, who makes you shiver every time you think of him, you want someone with that spark, pzaz, chutspah,
you want that element of danger, yet security, you want him to set your pulse racing yet you want to know he will never hurt you,
you want him to want your mind aswell as your body
you want mindblowing sex, with deep conversation after AND he'll take out the trash at night for you
