Enmos,
This thread is about Ben's hypocrisy. Nothing more.
Nothing more.
Your posts are always asking me how I can possibly hold my stance while Gendanken is being insulting.
Later, you turn the tables on me and ask how I can point at Ben's hypocrisy while being insulting.
These are logical fallacies, Enmos.
Two wrongs don't make a right.
They have no bearing on what Ben did.
None.
Is that simple enough for you?
And don't say you are just trying to show the hypocrisy. You wouldn't have made a thread like this for anyone else.
But, I did.
Are you taking lessons from the Marquis now, Enmos? Can you see my heart of hearts?
Of course you can't.
As I've said about you time and time again. You don't read. You see exactly what you want to see.
It burns no calories.
I've answered some, not answered others. You don't seem to really be trying to understand what I'm saying. So why should I even bother?
Nice cop-out..
It's the damned truth. You might think I'm trying to be insulting by wondering about your english skills, but that reply of yours that I quoted was complete nonsense. A bunch of random shit with no connection to anything that I actually wrote.
I think I see what you're doing. You're responding by clipping little bits and answering them. By the time you get to the next bit, you've already put the previous bit out of your mind? Is that it?
Not reading the whole post?
If that's not it, then I don't know what the hell is going on with you. Maybe a stroke or something.
Looks to me like you are being deliberately obtuse.
Sounds familiar.
Been waiting to throw that back, eh?
Hurts?
Of course I understand the phrase "You've read Fight Club? Seen the movie?", I just don't get the point you are trying to make.
I've seen the movie, but..
Then, if you understood what I asked, then why didn't you answer?
If you had read my post, then you'd realize that this question came right after my brief attempt to correct your mispointed focus as to the 'snowflake' question.
Tyler Durden makes the snowflake an integral part of his philosophy.
That's why I referenced it.
You should know exactly what I'm trying to say because you've seen the movie, right?
So, tell me, what does Tyler Durden have to say about snowflakes?
Keep the insults coming, tophat
Trying to goad, parrot?
Question: Is calling me 'tophat' insulting?
Is me calling you 'parrot' insulting?
Anyway.
Let's sink back a bit. I'll give you one more-ONE MORE-chance to get me.
That's it.
One more and I'm through with you.
Get it?
On the topic of insults.
If you had actually read this thread rather than perused your mental catalog of what it is I must surely by saying, then you'd have read that I do not stand on your side of the insulting line. I believe that the law should be more lax. That is my belief.
I don't think that insulting is as deadly as you apparently do.
I've been over this argument so many times before you even poked your head into this little forum that it's not funny.
Get it?
I'm not a hypocrite because I don't espouse or enforce the prosecution of the actions which I also participate in.
Get it?
Ben insults people.
Ben punishes people for insulting other people.
That is the conundrum.
All your other ponderings are strawmen and red herrings.
Hence, my initial response to you about logical fallacies.
You get an F in pointing them out.
Fedr808,
If they take your reprimand seriously, it's because they felt like it, not because they had to.
Teaching your grandmother to suck eggs?
I never demanded anything from the admin, did I?
Sam,
Do people even know when they are being insulted anymore?
It's all a matter of convenience. Whatever serves the purpose at the time is insulting.
I think that is one reason why so many younger people are so dissatisfied and cynical. They have no tools to deal with reality because the are smothered by social convention. Reality is too graphic and offensive for them.
Hmm.
With the internet being the way it is?
Nah.
The problem of today is snowflakism.
Everybody's so fucking special and unique that they don't even need to try any more.
It's a right.
Hell, it's even in the Declaration of Independence and probably the Constitution of the U.S.
Signal,
I think it is rather that the social convention does not give viable or productive tools to deal with reality.
The social convention does give tools to deal with reality, but to use those tools requires that one abolish oneself or presume oneself to be the ultimate authority.
Abolishing oneself would be tantamount to realizing that you are not some precious unique thing-in-itself and actually have to work your way through the world.
The Ultimate Authority, methinks, would be the opposite.
If anything, the worst thing about the social convention is that we are not supposed to talk about it, but we are supposed to accept it anyway.
Typical dysfunctional family.
Ripley,
I mean, her message is clear: the same spirit that can climb mountains and encourage others to climb along with her is also the same spirit that can demolish molehills. You can’t get the one without the other. Human integrity.
Yes, but to get that message one needs to read, eh?
That's the conundrum.
I've never failed to be astounded by the sheer number of people here who simply don't like to read.
The Marquis,
Sigh.
Do you even realize what you're revealing about yourself here?
It'd be sad if I liked you. Funny, either way.
I suppose that's your precious Shadenfreude. Funny-sad. More funny than sad.
Do you wear black eyeliner?
As to your whole 'analysis' or whatever you want to call it, you're worse at it than Wanderer ever was. Give it a rest.
As to this:
You two been talking about me again?
You
really don't know just how boring you are, do you?
Why the hell would anybody talk about you?
Frankly, I'm sick of this fad for "telling it like it is".
All you get is a generation of idiots telling it like they think it is.
Yeah. Ambiguous allusions are the far superior way to communicate, eh?
Gives you the defense of claiming that no one understands the greatness inside, yes?
Show me a single person who has ever changed their opinion, or more importantly their view of themselves, after being insulted by someone they don't like or care nothing for; particularly when they have someone else giving them support when they're under attack.
Superstring.
Think so?
How many bans can one girl take?
How many times will she tell herself she doesn't care and then reappear after the dust has settled?
How many times will she tell her compadres it means nothing to her if she's welcome here or not?
How many times will you believe her when she says she's just here for shits and giggles?
How many times?
How many roads must a man walk down... before he starts being a pussy goth?
Is she reading, Invert? Can't log on but watching anyway?
The ban was over two days ago, genius.
