Firstly, it wasn’t James R, it was me.

Secondly, there is nothing “creative” going on. I merely merged two of your fruitless blogging-style threads into one. Nothing has been deleted; everything is still there. No dissent has been “crushed”.

Thirdly, you’ve been warned about offensive inappropriate language before, so despite you having no current infraction points, a ban is appropriate in my opinion.

This is the first time I have popped into this (merged) thread. I notice that I have posted twice: once to congratulate you on the baby, and a second time to note that spidergoat had been sanctioned for what might be taken to be an inappropriate comment.

Also, I note that only one post has been deleted from this thread. That post was deleted by cosmictraveler, who also wrote the post.

So, the only moderation action that has happened regarding this thread (as opposed to people posting in it) has been to merge two threads into one. It hardly seems like "crushing dissent" to me.

How to win friends and influence people, eh? Maybe try not going off half-cocked next time.

PS Before you start with conspiracy theories: I did not ask that you be banned. Your ban is an entirely independent decision that has nothing to do with me.

PPS I have just looked at your infraction points. It seems the ban was a little too long, so I have reduced it.

PPPS The fact that I messed with the ban length now means that my name is down on the ban list as the person who banned you. But see "PS".

How IS your pregnancy going, Varda? (I realize it might be an interval until you are able to respond.)

Have you experienced morning sickness or are you one of the lucky ones who seems little affected by this frequent malaise of the first trimester?

Interesting.

For a brief interval it showed as locked and then after JamesR reply, the lock icon was gone.

That's what it looked like on this end and only after the lock icon was not showing did I attempt to post.

H.R I may be new here but I should report ya to your other. Mods. I didn't see leopold use foul language an the bug lady is pregnant. When pregnant you tend to nEed lenancey because they tend to be MOODY. Have you never been with a pregnent. Woman. For the whole 9 months!! GeeeeZ!!!! :( Congats Bug lady!!!! :) I had 1 it is a experiance

No-one complained about his banning because he was clearly in a poor mental state, and not able to make proper posts.
That sounds bad, banning someone because they are unwell,
but it was much more disjointed than anything he posted previously.
You'd have to go back over his final few weeks to see what I mean.

I don't think he'd have any trouble returning once he gets back to how he was. He had the best command of the English language I have seen on here.
