Who are we?

YES.

It is our navel portion.

I have no idea. I dont know if the current physics has answer for this.

It is believed there is fire element in the navel. As fire can not burn fire; so the navel portion remains un-burnt.
Not very scientific to think that there is a fire in the belly when people die. Do you have any physical evidence of this phenomenon?

Yaa. It is not scientific to think that way.

Yaa. It is a very common ritual in Hindu custom. This unburnt navel is collected afterwards and immersed in a holy river.

It has only evidence but no supporting physics.
Is there an underlying religious explanation in Hindu culture; some reasoning why it might be the case?

That I already told you. They believe there is fire element in the navel.
It sounds like the kind of mystery that could be solved by science. I would be surprised if science professionals were at a loss about it after proper investigation. Let's look at their scientific notes, explanations, and the nature of on-going research. They wouldn't just stop trying to understand it.

This is ridiculous. All parts of the body burn if property burned (as we do in cremation). If some parts remain if you just torch someone that's irrelevant. In that case I'm sure the navel isn't the only part remaining.

So, entropy of a living cell decreases, whereas entropy of a dead cell increases; though both the cells are made of atomic particles. Isnt this mysterious?

Sperm and Ovum, both are made of atomic particles. Union of a sperm cell and ovum cell generates life. This is the nature's way of continuing life. Isnt this also mysterious?
No, that is not what I am saying. And no, it is not really mysterious, if you understand thermodynamics properly. Though it is - in my opinion - marvellous, like so many things in nature. (Please note the distinction between marvellous and mysterious - it's quite important if you want to avoid woo. )

What I am saying is that the entropy of a living cell is lower than that of the components of used to build it. But of course it takes expenditure of energy to build it, which involves a far greater increase in entropy in the surrounding environment than the decrease involved in organising of the cell.

You get a slightly similar thing when a crystal of ice forms: its entropy is lower than that of the water it is built from (it is a more organised structure), but Latent Heat of Fusion is released, which is dissipated in the environment, leading to a net increase in entropy.

“The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science. He to whom the emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand wrapped in awe, is as good as dead —his eyes are closed. The insight into the mystery of life, coupled though it be with fear, has also given rise to religion. To know what is impenetrable to us really exists, manifesting itself as the highest wisdom and the most radiant beauty, which our dull faculties can comprehend only in their most primitive forms—this knowledge, this feeling is at the center of true religiousness.”

Great quote of Einstein about the mystery of Life.

I dont know if science is already investigating this matter. I haven't seen any scientific explanation for this.

We are all human beings. We are all living beings. Our body is approx 70% water. Water is H2O. Our lung is full of air. Air is N2, O2, CO2.. . Bones are mostly calcium(Ca). So our body is made of natural elements as enlisted in the Periodic Table. These natural elements are made of molecules. Molecules are made of atoms. Atoms are made of electron, proton and neutron. Electrons of water are same with electrons of air or bones. So, we can say our body basically is made of electron, proton and neutrons. These electron, proton and neutrons can not move on their own. When we move our hand or any other limbs; so many electron, proton and neutrons will be moved.

So, who are we?

Are we all these electrons, protons and neutrons or something else which is able to move these particles.

It is supernatural like gravity or 'the force' in star wars. Its that 'space' we know exists but dont know what it is. But it definitely exists, we know that much. So we put a placeholder and sticky note for later when we find the right puzzle piece that fits. Heh

Are you implying that every molecule has a life element.
Good Lord no.

Why this chemistry works only in a living cell but this chemistry does not work in a dead cell.
Because metabolism is complex and once stopped cannot be restarted.

Compare (simplistically to a siphon. It operates if set up properly, but once suction is lost; it does not restart.

Sunlight basically are photon particles. So, without these photons we will not be able to think?
Without the energy from the sun, Earth will freeze, crops will die, food will vanish, we will starve, we will stop thinking.

Without the energy from the sun, Earth will freeze, crops will die, food will vanish, we will starve, we will stop thinking.

Why do we need to eat? Why all these steps? Why dont we just get our energy from the sun?

Evidently these are mediums, not the actual essence of what life is. Not even the conversion of energy can explain what life is.

Why do we need to eat? Why all these steps? Why dont we just get our energy from the sun?
Because that would make us plants.

Plants did just fine for hundreds of millions of years. They used the energy to slowly extract nutrients and build higher-energy molecules. And then - not insignificantly - they stored all that goodness in their bodies. But it wasn't enough energy to add frills like legs, eyes or brains.

Eventually, some life forms were able to take advantage of the work that plants had already done. This richer, more abundant, more convenient supply of chemical energy meant that they could devote their energy budget to better ways of getting better food. They could be more complex, because they were fueled by pre-processed chemical energy that plants stored, just waiting for something to come along and take it away.

Thus, eaters of plants (and later, eaters of eaters of plants) became more and more complex with all this extra energy they've stolen. One of the ways they became more complex was to become more intelligent.

Note though that, it takes a lot of plants to make enough energy to support a plant-eater, and it takes a lot of plant-eaters to make enough energy to support eaters-of-plant-eaters. Which is why the ecosystem is distributed the way it is.

We Humans don't yet know who we are , yet .

Human's have been interfered with , geneticly , psychologically , spiritualy , mentally and politically .

We have been abused , and continue to be so , on all levels . Look at the above sentence .

To know who we are , will take a break from our ancient past and present situation .

The only way for Humanity to know who we are , is to take control of our future . Once done , then we will know who we are .

Oh yeah, one more tier.

Humans are eaters of eaters of eaters of plants. (Then again, so are cetaceans, sharks, and a few other animals who eat other predators).
