I think you have to look at which state has the most defunct cars as yard ordaments, uses the most outdoor furniture as interior funiture, and for how many houses you can not drive up to without getting your paint job scratched by dogs...

A. I go to one of the better schools in the state, and country.
B. I live in the second healthiest city in the USA, and one of the healthier in the world
C. How is Texas redneck?
D. If Texas is as red neck as you think why do you think people like Lance Armstrong, and Michael Dell live there (i actually go to school with one of his daughters).
E. I live in the city with one of the fastest growing computer centers in the world. Tons of computer chips here

And thats not even including things like ACL, and UT, and several famous military bases

Where do you guys think that the US army rangers are based off of? Yeah, it's the Texas rangers they are based off of.

I've been in every state except Utah and Oregon. And I can tell you with no hesitation at all that the winner of this contest is Louisiana. And it comes in just barely before North and South Carolina which are pretty well tied for second place.

There are virtually no rednecks left in USA. Originally, calling somebody a redneck implied certain measure of self-sufficiency and independence of that person from the "sophisticated" civilization and its ways. Modern "rednecks" are nothing like that,they are hooked on mass produced trailers, trucks, TVs, foods, NASCAR, sports, entertainment. They are true byproducts of modernity and free market mass economy, they are not rednecks.
