I don't see how this is true.
What will the economy look like when robots take over most of the jobs as a result of scientific and technological progress?

А что тут сложного для понимания? В конечном итоге всё сводится к трудозатратам и "хотелкам" людей. Вы потратили 1 трудочас своего времени, чтобы сорвать с пальмы банан и отнести его продавцу, и хотите получить за это 1 доллар. Продавец потратил на покупку и перепродажу банана 1 трудочас, и тоже хочет получить за свой труд 1 доллар, поэтому перепродаёт его за 2 доллара. Дальше по цепочке - все хотят получить сколько-нибудь за свой труд, и набавляют столько, сколько им позволит спрос и предложение. Но в основе всего - трудозатраты.

99.9999% of human history occured before WE were born. That's why we are lucky to have books on this. You should read some of them.

There are innumerable costs you are not considering. I offered a short list here.
Your ladder to reach the bananas is an expense. As is your basket to put them in and your bananas bin where you keep your supply for customers to browse. You ranspartionb to deliver the banana to your customer. Your banana farm is an expense. Your banana cleaning equipment. The sign over your farm had to come from somewhere. The water you irrigate with. The pesticides. Your signs and flyers to advertize that you sell bananas, your fire insurance, etc. etc. etc.
Also: The how-to book - to learn why your business failed because you climbed a palm tree ... looking for bananas.

А о тех исполнителях которых вы упомянули я не слышала, вероятно потому что никто в моём окружении их не слушал. Вы же вот, например, тоже знать не знали о Димаше, пока я вам о нём не рассказала? А Марка Бернеса, или Муслима Магомаева, или Утёсова вы когда-нибудь слышали?
Дэйв, я прекрасно знаю из чего складывается себестоимость товаров и услуг. Меня этому 5 лет в университете учили. Но проследите цепочку до конца: и как появилась ваша корзина для бананов, и оборудование, и всё прочее. О.к., не буду. Вообще, хотите услышать что то по настоящему классное? Купите патефон, поставьте на него пластинку времён вашего деда, сядьте перед камином в кресло-качалку с бокалом хорошего вина, и погрузитесь в обстановку того времени. Это реально круто! Вырваться из нашего сумасшедшего мира, и как будто попасть в прошлое. Это ни с чем не сравнить, правда.

I am not saying act like someone who was born in 1903, I am saying READ some of the road map. The important stuff. Like Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Debussy, Tchaikovsky and Deep Purple.
Из всех вами перечисленных, я не знакома только с творчеством Deep Purple.
А патефон - это реально круто. Как будто попадаешь в прошлое. Он способен создавать какую то свою, ни с чем не сравнимую атмосферу. Это трудно объяснить, это нужно услышать наяву.
А ещё я слышала ваших "Битлз".
