Well it's already been reversed, unfairly I might add.
On what grounds do you classify it as invalid?
I found your langauge to be inappropriate.
You said "shit", and I don't believe the situation called for it.
Bottom line, valid infraction.
It's validity, in light of all other factors, is litterally factually concrete.
It's valid in accordance with the guidelines.
The fact it was reversed is what is highly questionable.

What do I do now? Now that my valid infraction has been reversed? Lose faith in mankind? Join a street gang?
I see you already have a collection of infractions yourself.... :D:D

Which is it ?

Valid because the "guidelines" require the action,

or

Valid because you "don't believe the situation called for it. "

If the former refers to a rule governing/forbidding use of such language, than a list of prohibited terms should be posted, and all violations should be punished by infraction.

If the latter, than there is at bottom no standard whatever, there is merely "the rule of whim".

Infractions for foul language shouldn't really be given, afterall the forums software permits the use of banning certain words and replacing them with alias (asterix) characters. The system itself wouldn't take much to create an Auto-infraction system for people attempting to post vial words therefore relieving the need for infraction handouts by moderators or posters, however I don't really need to post just how ludicrous the posters would think of such an automaton "police state" system.

I still find the yellow/red card icon annoying.

It's the concept that's annoying. The icon is just one more bit of visual twaddle which faded into the background after seeing it a few times.

The idea, however, is like another tendril of a bloated bureaucracy slithering insidiously up one's backside to suck the nutrition from half-broken down foodstuffs intended for one's intestines to slurp on merrily.

Why, right next to the "cards", screaming redundant !!! is the plain old grey "report" button which seemed sufficient to bring to the attention of the administration any untoward post content before the advent of "mod proliferation".

The sole beneficial side ~ effect of the idea might be to give Ye Olde Tin Plated Council Of The Wise something to do chasing down infractions to determine whether or not they have any validity.

but, eh...
W'otever.

LoL

And how is it that the current system is any different from such an "automaton 'police state'"??

Sad that I have to quote N.W.A. but,

"Fuck the police."

My infraction expired days ago and it's still on my profile. My boo-boo was caught by a far right moderator so I'm assuming he's leaving it up to provoke a response. Damn. I shoulda kept my mouth shut.:bugeye:

Looks like your infraction was reversed, Genji. That means it no longer counts.

Not sure. I think your profile shows your last 5 or 6 infractions, or something like that.
