That would be a completely fair and sensible poll. In fact, we could have still have that poll, by just ignoring option 2.

What would you do about the people that voted for option 2? They cannot vote again.

The true intent of the options are inside the parentheses. The seperation between choice 2 and 3 is merely an addition of humor. IMO.

I agree with Mikey - if everyone who was a whacko were impeached or banned, he would have been gone a long time ago.

Yes, I understand that. The poll is already up now, and there is no use, making a more fair one. However the 2nd option serves little purpose, than show, that the voters feel Xev is a very flawed person.

I think it is only fair, we use option 1 and 3 and compare the both. While leaving option 2 as some extra information for the admin to come to a verdict.

From the poll it turns out 32 members do not consider Xev to be a good person. That's more than double the amount, that do consider her a good person. Hence, this data would suggest that more than twice do not think highly of Xev. It thus does not bode well for all when such a person is a moderator. In some ways it gives people the lee-way to be just as irresponsible.

No, we should not use option 2. However, as it's already there, and some people have voted for it - it could be of some use as extra information on what people feel, leaving the verdict in the admin's hands. Either that, or we just completely ignore option 2, and ask people not to vote for it anymore.

Mikey sez:

The poll says nothing about how good a person Xev is - where did you glean that nonsense from?

I think this will cause controversy if one side can win over the other once the needed 100 votes come in. I think my poll will be screwed to debate unless the “Impeach Xev” votes reaches 51 before the other 2 combined do. Maybe I should ask to have this poll closed, and new very simple and serious 2 question on be made.

Also.. the question says "Should Xev be impeached" - the second choice says "yes" at first.. but the result means do not impeach. I am sure someone has been "tricked" by that. It might help to close this poll and start a new on with only two choices. And the two choices should read "Yes, Xev should be impeached" and "No, Xev should not be impeached."

Perhaps, but just because someone does not like Xev does not mean that person thinks Xev is doing a bad job at moderating the forums. Make sure you keep the two seperate...

Ok I argee I fuck up, I'll try to close it on the grounds that it is not a well design poll for such a serious subject.

Maybe she should be limited her power of Mod.

What sense would that make? Limiting mod power? How would that happen?
You're either a mod or you're not.
Plus we need a complete poll + authorisation of Porfiry.
What sense does limiting her mod power make?

Best to my knowledge (I could be wrong though), Xev was once a member of PhilosophyForums.Com.

Why she left I have no clue, but she has never (since then) been talked about in a positive manner......... ;)

Xev is a wacko, but an entertaining wacko with a good sense of humor whose posts I've always enjoyed. No reason to discriminate against wackos, she can be a good moderator.

Does anyone actually have evidence of her abusing power, or is it as it seems to be just a bunch of people who don't like her deciding that people they personally don't like shouldn't be moderators?

Okay fine then ummmmm, then keep her as a MOD. I think she is doing a good job.

Look, I enjoyed every lurid minute of the Clinton impeachment. Could we please have a nice big fat scandal about xev? Otherwise
I'll be forced into Freak Thoughts again.

Alas BMW.. not all have left.. some of us still remain ;)

While I find it highly flattering to be considered a "whacko", none have explained what - precisely - makes me one.

Enlighten a girl.

By the way, I cannot be blamed for my whackiness. This is the fault of the communications satellites controlled by the Mossad which are beaming telegraphic messages into my pineal gland.
