Is it OK to offer medical advice on Sciforums . . . . . might be some liability issues unless you can provide medical credentials for the members . . .just saying . . . rules are rules . . . Right?

For how many years are you doing that, I am doing this with some instant coffee in the last 1 to 2 years and I feel ok,

I have been doing this since I was 5 years old. When she became older, she began to add honey to coffee and tea.

Let me add my own pointless personal comments to everyone else's, on the topic of honey.

I like chestnut honey for its distinctive flavour. Particularly good with Greek yoghourt.

As to health effects, the chief one that is properly documented seems to be that in infants <1yr old honey can in rare cases give them botulism, which is often fatal.

Thanks for the advice. In return, I would advise you to go for a soothing walk in the woods, find a Jack-in-the-Pulpit (wild flower), and chow-down on the raw roots - fantastic result!!

Explain why honey can give infants botulism?

The short answer is that botulism spores are found in honey. Normal, healthy immune systems have no probme with it, but an infant's immune system is not mature enough to handle it.
