I never played rome or MT2. I always play the original (well, not shogun, but mTW).

 

we should play online once i have figured out the basics (playing a full game from start to end) this game looks awesome as hell!...its downloading as we speak.

can you choose a single soldier to fight with?

 

The idea is that you have an army. A mighty army opposing another one.


Lately I have been playing with maximum size unit settings. So you can have nice big battles. An infantry unit then contains 200 soldiers instead of the standard 100. Yesterday I was facing an army of 6500 men in a campaign.

I have been mostly playing the viking invasion expansion set lately though. Somehow it is nicer because it is simpler (not easier).

 

Tornado was awesome! I remember loading that onto my 85mb hard drive with floppy disks! I never did complete it, but I still got that encyclopedic instruction manual and maps - if I had a floppy disk drive on this computer I'd be playing it now!

If you can't get it to run use dosbox.

What also works for me is to run in the 'amp' folder, the file amp.exe. No emulators or special tricks needed.

This works on my desktop but not on my laptop. On my laptop I get a memory error.

But in dosbox you also get sound. Without it I just can get the computer bleeps sound effects.

Yeah, I got it working...the .bat files don't work...but amp.exe does - but I'm only getting the computer beeps for sound so I'll try the dosbox option...anyway cheers

Played vice city some years ago. I see that this one is a bigger mothafucka than that. I just miss the talk radiostation.

Still in the beginning. Having mostly problems with getting ammo. Amnu-nation isn't open for me yet for some reason. All I can do is run over gang members.

I like the pimping missions.
