The rest of us, who can remember what happened in the past in the US, have already seen this show. The people who study history have seen it, written about it, feared its reprise.

We've seen it wearing tri-cornered hats and forgetting all about its hero W. We've seen it wearing pointy hoods and forgetting all about its hero Adolf. This show is as old as the US itself, and never gets any better - because the people who put it on never learn. They never learn because to learn they would have to remember what they did, why they did it, and what happened afterwards.

And that's not something they want to do.

Meanwhile: You who claim they never trusted "the media" are and have been completely in thrall to the least honest, least trustworthy, least sensible media in the US. You have proven that you will believe anything, anything at all, the stupidest crap in the world over the evidence of your own eyes, if it comes from the media feeds of the American Heritage Institute and similar organizations, and is delivered to you via the appropriate voices.

Not only will you believe anything from those media, you will repeat it in public as your own understanding.

The litany of the nonsense and bizarre lies and ridiculous slanders you have accepted from the media that have made you into the human equivalent of a hypnotized chicken is pages long and decades old. Every so often you can find a blogger or comedian will take a day off from teh hard work of inventing comical absurdity of their own, and simply recite a list of the things you have believed from those media. It's like a book of quotes from a Republican President since Eisenhower - damn funny. If you ignore the consequences.
Here's a couple of people showing how to convince a Trump voter that all this Russian collusion stuff is a farce and fake news - also, Trump is going to find out where Obama was really born as soon as he has time from all these distractions:
Notice how they love the poorly educated - like Trump, they're on your side.

And what similarities do you see, iceaura?

So we're burning crosses in the front yard, rounding up jews and homosexuals for the internment camps? I'm still waiting for the end of the world to show itself.

    Um, yeah...we do.

The alternative being? To whom have you surrendered your faith?

I will offer it as an alternative to your corporate media. You're always free to turn on your television and read your paper.

When you can guess what the punchline is before the joke is presented, there's no point in watching the show

I liked your post overall. I couldn't have said it any better myself, Iceaura. The video was cool. Thanks.

? Between what and what? We've got one show here, and we've seen it before.
That was you guys, yeah, past performances of this show - forgotten? They weren't that long ago, especially the crosses - and they're still swirling, still in the script -
such as in the twitter feed your latest hero President follows and quoted from in Presidential celebration of the Fourth of July, examples collected for you by a blogger: http://nomoremister.blogspot.com/2017/07/more-trenchant-commentary-from.html
This "split right down the middle" you celebrate? HansAssholeSolo is on your side, supporting your hero you elected President, for much the same reasons you are.
No, you don't. If you did - - - - it wasn't that long ago.
Just quit fooling yourself that you don't trust "the media." Because when you do, you hide from yourself the sources of the crap you believe and the motives of those who would have you believe it.
Your trusted media is the most directly corporate media in existence - bought and scripted and operated and paid for by corporate wealth, in the interests of that wealth.
You don't know what mine is - but you can verify it's none of the corporate media you do know, by comparing. So when I tell you it's no corporate media at all, you might not believe it - but you can't refute the claim.

And what bearing on Trump's wellness? That the media we depend on to track such matters, so that we can function as adults in a democracy, cannot handle the nature of Trump's unwellness. They have lost, hopefully merely misplaced, the capability of dealing with this guy. And that means we're in trouble.

A blogger whose writing I follow (not the talking, the writing) came in appropriately for the juncture, in his weekly review of the Sunday media punditry: http://driftglass.blogspot.com
And that's the context of this:
It's not Trump who "isn't well". He's a symptom (not that the symptoms don't sometimes kill you). It's the Republican Party.

And the Sunday gashouse, of course.

For those looking to advance the interests of Russia and other enemies of the West, I would imagine it is quite hilarious.

Why would Russia want someone they clearly can't control as president of the USA, say the trumptards, well because his incompetence will produce a power vacuum at the global superpower level that Russia can fill. Russia has state repeatedly their interest in a multi-polar world in which china and russia have their own sphere of influence again, and there is no world police force, trump helps that goal by putting an idiotic pig boar and chief of that police force.

Now if I was president (which I am not nor ever will be nor ever try to be) I would agree with a multi-polar world, I would tell China and Russia, America simply can't spend the money being the world police anymore, we will close down most of our bases, sell off a fair percentage of our military, oh and we will sell nuclear weapons to Ukriane and South Korea and Philippines, so they can defend themselves, you win, multi-polar world indeed. Now this is a dangerous move, if any of those countries use their nukes it could set off WW3, but considering someone like trump has access to the big red button, I don't think the risk of my alternate reality is that much greater then our nightmarish and surreal reality in which Donald Trump has access to the big red nuclear button!

It is indeed. He'd do far better as a comedian than as a president (and the country would be better off as well.)

I love it. I haven't been following his tweets, but might start taking the time to follow them.

It seems he has been trying, but others are opposed to his success.

You mean like republicans, republicans that run both the house and the senate, they can't get their shit together for some reason? When Lyndon Johnson wanted to get civil rights done, he fucking got civil rights done, bent congresses arms. Basically your admitting Trump is weak and incompetent.

The fact remains, he is bewilderingly incompetent... his own party owns both houses, holds majority in the Supreme Court, et al... and yet he STILL cannot keep a single of his big campaign promises...

Yes, he is. And now the US has become a worldwide joke. Do you love that, too?
I think they are opposed to his incompetence. As for success - how's that repeal of Obamacare going? Or his secret plan to defeat ISIS?

That happens to be extortion, definitely a high crime or misdemeanor, the Republicans seem to lack guts and honor.

No it is not extortion. Extortion is obtaining money or property by means of threats: http://criminal.findlaw.com/criminal-charges/extortion.html

It could be attempted blackmail, though.

Blackmail is a form of extortion, see your link.

Many statutes also provide that any threat to harm another person in his or her career or reputation is extortion. Trump is clearly guilty of extortion.

If you read that you will see it is about obtaining money or property. But it may be a difference in definition between legal systems. In the UK we would not use the term extortion for a threat intended to change behaviour rather than to obtain money or property, because you have to extort something tangible from the victim.

The funny thing is those 'others' are Republicans. Republicans control the government, if only Trump could control himself they could move their agenda forward.
