And now I can link to stuff.
If you want me to. I just chose my computer background.
When did you stop taking LDS?
Jessop.
First name Ruby?
Yes, inappropriate.
I would advise you to delete it yourself Varda.
@Killjoy
I note you immediately quoted it, so that it couldn't be deleted.
Despite its being in the post underneath.
You could have just given some friendly advice.
SciForums does not have a whole lotta rules, but "Don't Ever Post Pornography Not Even A Link" is one of them.Good you put it on your computer, I didn't need to see that, and I find it very inappropriate for this forum. Especially when you haven't given fair warning about what it is. Have a little consideration for your fellow forum users.
I don't think there's any problem deleting a post that has been quoted. You're giving our software engine credit for waaaay too much sophistication. However, general members only have fifteen minutes to edit or delete a post. After that it can only be done by a moderator.I note you immediately quoted it, so that it couldn't be deleted.
Thanks for that. Sorry that I inferred you did it deliberately.Point taken and corrected.

@Varda. There's a big difference between linking to a site without warning, and saying that such a thing exists.
@Fraggle. If someone posts something that they shouldn't, then if you quote it, you make it so that the other person can not retract the statement. It's still there in your quote of the statement. I sometimes do it myself, if I think someone is going to wriggle out of an argument.
I see what you mean. Still, a moderator can go through the whole thread and edit out the offending text.If someone posts something that they shouldn't, then if you quote it, you make it so that the other person can not retract the statement. It's still there in your quote of the statement. I sometimes do it myself, if I think someone is going to wriggle out of an argument.
But it doesn't take much enlightenment to become conscious of it. If you're telling someone they shouldn't have posted a link, then it's not too much of a stretch to say to yourself, "Hmmm, perhaps that means that I should not be posting it either."No problem, I'm glad you pointed that out. It's easy not to think about the link in a quote.
The operative word being "most.". . . . I doubt there are very many preteens and most high schoolers could probably handle it.
I'm not a parent and I didn't see any humor in it. I'm hardly going to play the "free speech" card for that. But I doubt their parents would see any humor in that picture.
