this link must be interpreted with the following link:
    http://www.cdc.gov/nccdphp/dnpa/obesity/defining.htm
    note especially:
It is important to remember that although BMI correlates with the amount of body fat, BMI does not directly measure body fat. As a result, some people, such as athletes, may have a BMI that identifies them as overweight even though they do not have excess body fat. For more information about BMI, visit Body Mass Index.

so, are we obese or athletic?

    Too bad I don't fit that stereotype. (5'11", 165 lbs, 12.8% BF).

And the picture of that chick; either she is wearing a latex suit, or the artists went waaaaay too far with the airbrushing(which I hate). Her skin looks almost fake.

And yes, my city is in the most fittest category; number 24 to be exact. Pretty good for one of the only two cities in the South that's on that list.

I'll nail a fat chick but I won't date one.
*sits back and waits for bitch-ass Orly to tell him he's a misogynist, or to tell him to get over himself*

Q: What do mopeds and fat chicks have in common?
A: They are very fun to ride, until your friends catch you on one!

I think obesity rates have been going down in the last couple years, its difficult to tell, since as iceaura says BMI does not distinguish between muscle and fat. But I've noticed a drop in childhood obesity rates.

Obesity in america is considered by many everyday people is like 200-300+ pounds, many europeans ive asked consider obesity to be 275-350+ pounds. The fact is that in America there is a lot of stress to be super healthy. I know a kid that considers himself overweight at 160 pounds, and he is 18. The standards in America is a lot different than the rest of the world. Austin TX, is also the 2nd healthiest city.

Also the USA has 14.5 trillion dollar GDP. The fact of the matter is that money is power, if a nation like the USA can outspend every nation in the world in things like the military, no one could touch that kind of military without taking serious casualties.

Bullshit. Obesity is measured the same all over the world, using Body Mass Index. BMI > 30 = Obese.

I see so many obese children at my kid's schools. Its pathetic how many kids grow up on pop instead of water and milk. And how many get fruit snacks instead of real fruit.
