Matango - Attack of the Mushroom People
and
Bermuda Depths (about a damn giant ocean turtle. Its why to this day I hate the ocean)

Are you being serious here? AOTMP is one of the campiest and goofiest scary movies I have ever seen. It's on par with Night of The Lepus.

Now, I admit that if you were just the right age when you saw this flick it would seem scary. I remember seeing the old Vincent Price movie The Tingler and thought it was scary when I was 8 or 9 years old.

I remember right around the time when Mantango was being shown on the early UHF channels (like every Saturday afternoon), another Japanese fine arts film that was making the rounds was Majin: The Monster Of Terror.
