Hints for aspiring hip-hop artistes

Hip-hop requires very little talent. Anybody can get into it. All you really need to be able to do is talk. Singing is optional - you can get back-up singers for that if required. You can also get other people to help you rhyme your words.

If you choose to write your own tunes, try to include some or all of the following words. They will give you street cred, and help you pretend you're a mean mutha from the hood:

• Ho
• Bitches
• Bling
• Mutha
• Brutha
• Nigga

Traps for young players

Dancing is up to you, and is optional in hip hop, but be careful with this since if you get it seriously wrong you might look like a moron.

Also be careful with inserting the word "nigga" into your songs if you are a white hip hop artiste. This may attract the ire of hip hop artistes and other people of other races.
