It's interesting that some folks are willing to engage a person they would run from if they met them on the street.
Or it could be that I just had one two many abnormal psych courses.
Yes the internet is weird like that. I always try and imagine the other person is 6 ft 2 and 240 lbs and we are at the bar. At some point he is going to get in my face and say something horric so I either have to walk away or break his jaw.
99 times out of 100 I am walking away because I am not 35 anymore. The one time I see the red mist one of us is in big trouble.
I played Sunday league football and rugby league, probably the most violent team sport you can do without breaking any of the actual rules!
Rugby players get old and footy players get slow and in my mind I know I am not invincible anymore.
So treat that guy with respect, don't act like a key board warrior.
Everyone is entitled to say anything they want unless they are breaking some sort of law.
I do not know the ins and outs of hate speech but I am pretty certain holocaust denying in Germany is against the law.
On the net COVID denying taught me restraint but that is stupidity and ignorance, not hate.
Racism of that kind of level with anti semitism just brings out the neanderthal in me.
It makes one wonder, how do you get a view like that? Have they spent their lives walking round looking for something to hate?
Anyway I am wandering, I want to give people the benefit of the doubt.
If they spew hatred I should walk.
