On the night of June 23, 1993, John Bobbitt arrived at the couple's Manassas, Virginia apartment intoxicated after a night of partying and, according to testimony by Lorena in a 1994 court hearing, raped his wife. (Note: He was tried and acquitted for this alleged spousal rape in 1994; he was prosecuted by the same district attorney who prosecuted Lorena for allegedly attacking John.) Afterwards, Lorena got out of bed and went to the kitchen for a drink of water. According to an article in the National Women's Studies Association Journal, in the kitchen she noticed a carving knife on the counter and "memories of past domestic abuses raced through her head." Grabbing the knife, Lorena entered the bedroom where John was asleep; and she proceeded to cut off more than half of his penis.[1]

After assaulting her husband, Lorena left the apartment, with the severed penis. After driving a short while, she rolled down the car window and threw the penis into a field. Realizing the severity of the incident, she stopped and called 911. After an exhaustive search, the penis was located, packed in ice, and brought to the hospital where John was located.

The penis was re-attached by Doctors James T. Sehn and David E. Berman during a nine and a half hour surgery.[2]

after all if its that systemic then there should be physical evidence, healed and partially healed injuries ect

Personally my opinion was she was a psycho who probably caught him cheating and thought she would get her own back. If it really was about self defence she would have gone for the neck

I don't think so. The neck? What woman thinks a man's neck is his most vulnerable spot? And I think a lot of rape victims would like to cut off the rapist's penis, not go for the neck.

And John Wayne stared in porn and became an 'attraction' and the Bunny Ranch. He got fired because all he did was drink and try and get freebies from the girls. He was also arrested again for abuse.

thats the problem, cutting off somes penis is REVENGE, stabbing to the neck, head and chest COULD be (not is always) defence.

Even if she is telling the truth and she WAS raped the law doesnt alow someone to take revenge, only to defend themselves. Why didnt she call the police? go to a hospital? ect. Those are the questions someone is going to get asked in court.

To often i have seen women killing or maiming there spouses automatically dismissed as "she was a beaten wife" when statistically when a person is killed by there spouse the goal is FINATIAL.

If it was for rape, the penis is where most women will aim for.
 
then she is guilty of revenge SAM. If he had died as a result that is first degree murder in the US. Revenge is specifically baned under law, only self defence is alowed

When you say that you'll act in a certain way, one should do it so. can you promise something in your working area and not do it? can you promise someone you are not close enough and not do it? i guess the answer is NO. The most precious people in our lives are the ones we neglect most i guess. if you can not call or text her just say so. it's i guess better than not keeping your word
