Go to a Head Hunter and tell them you will lick shit for peoples ass's if it means a job and I am sure you will find one. Or you can check out if there are any reeducation grants in your area that you may qualify for. I am not sure if you have such programs in the US but they seem to have plenty of them up here in Canada. Any way good luck with the search and do not discount the power of a Face to Face either print off a wack load of your Resume and go door to door with them. Sometimes you would be surprised by the result.

At least, with a lottery ticket you have a chance of that.
With a patchy job record, unemployed in a recession, getting a good job is a remote possibility.
Ditto weight loss, if you are inactive and depressed.

fuck yeah, go for public service. in australia becoming a cop takes six months training and u start off on 60K. ur helping people, there's heaps of career opportunities and you get a cool car and cool gun.
I found a contractor Job on Saturday working at a bank, we're going to be converting their branch over to Chase instead of WaMu. It's only that single day.
Sadly I got a call last night asking if I wanted to work on this project Wed+ Thur but the Unemployment Office had scheduled me a phone interview I couldn't miss so I had to say no. I don't even think I'll get unemployment but I had to try, hell... no optimist here. At least that one day of pay is better than nothing eh?

That's a good way to get screwed up, not unscrewed up.
Almost everyone I ever met who is ex army has been mentally scarred by it.
If you were in the UK, ds, you could make a career out of being unemployed.
I believe things are tougher in the US.
I've done some temporary work myself in the past, and it does have the advantage that no matter how awful the job, it only lasts a few days.
Worst job I ever did was in a tube factory.
They gave me a job deburring tubes, but I was lousy at that, so they moved me to pipe straightening.

WaMu was a national chain with branches in almost all states across the country. It went bankrupt about a year ago and was seized by the FDIC and sold to Chase. All branches, in every state, will be changed from Washington Mutual to Chase. No need to live in Washington State (though, darksidz may well live there).
