I've supported my claims and if you cannot accept them that's up to you. But the facts still remain clear to me as well as many others of what Russia is doing in Iran.

If you think selling goods to Iran or offering technical assistance makes them subservient to you, you have totally lost touch with reality.
Iran is supplying bombs and high explosives to the Muslim rebels in several Southern Russian states and the bombers blowing up the Moscow subway and airport - Hardly the actions of an Iran "subservient to Russia."
Your post in the new "food inflation social stability" thread are equally out of touch with reality as quadraphonics has pointed out in several posts there.
If your mind is not messed up with drugs, etc. while making the really irrational posts and then claiming to have supported the nonsense, Get some professional help.

Cosmic I think you are spending too much time listening to right wing radio (limbaugh, beck, et al) and too much time in right wing web sites. You have not supported your claims with facts nor reason.
Things remain clear to you because you accept as fact the unreasonable and nonfactual statements and ideas put forth by your ideological leaders...more informed and rational folks don't feed from that trough.

Your link has some truth, but the real reason for Iraq invasion and for the strong French and Russian resistance to it is more related to fact France's Total oil company had all the oil contracts, which US based companies wanted AND Russian companies had all the oil field equipment and maintance contracts, which Dick Cheney wanted for his company, Halliburton. (He was the CEO with large pensions just suspended while he was VP)
Cheney was much more intelligent than GWB, and soon had Bush buying into the WMD line to justify the invasion, (and several others before the final "liberate Iraq from evil Saddam" was the reason for the war.) That took some flexibility and skill as only a few years earlier Donald Rumsfeld was in Baghdad, photographed shaking Saddam's hand, back when the US was arming and assisting Iraq in the Iraq/Iran war.

It is interesting to note that Saddam's "trial" concerned fact he promptly killed (no trial) about dozen Kurds who had tried to assassinate him. Not one word in the trial concerned his war crime of using poison gas. The US directed that be the case, so Saddam could not bring up the fact that the US aided him to commit his war crimes.

The article does not support your claims of subservience to Russia. There is no new news there. China and France sold military hardware to Iraq as well.

So heres what I think is going to happen. Trump is serious about running and he will go through the primary races and lose to Romney. His vision is WAY too radical for mainstream politics.
He will then use his wealth to run as an independant and hand Obama a second term on a silver platter.
If he is elected, it will be great for the economy, and not so great for peace in the world. He calls himself the 'biggest war hawk'...like we need another one of those.

Because of all the candidates he would be the most effective in bringing about trade equilibrium.
I seriously doubt that. I agree that if Trump runs as an Independent, it will be good for Democrats. Trump does know how to put his companies into bankruptcy he has done it three times over the course of 10 years. The last time he put one of his companies into bankruptcy was in 2009.
He certianly knows how to get sued. He has a number of people suing him including some investors who invested in a Trump building project in Mexico.

Trump admits to being leveraged up to his eyeballs...but he also says his real estate assets are worth many billions of dollars.
Well if he runs, I guess we will find out how rich he really is.

But I hear some stories also about him running businesses into the ground. What is the reality? Is he good at what he does or did he somehow manage to get lucky?

The financial and political elites that choose the candidates that Americans vote for are seriously worried. Sarah Palin is NOT someone they have any inclination of letting into the oval office. The same grass roots ground swell of support for her is where the Donald would get his traction. He knows this, in fact, he has been hired to deflate her bubble. He'll be in it only long enough to make sure that she isn't a threat to the Republican Party. Then, he'll drop out when they thank him for a job well done and give him his pay off.

He was almost wiped out in 1990 when he owed 900 million to the banks and they suddenly wanted their money back.
He has benefited greatly from having excellent lawyers, who were able to buy him enough time to bounce back...by threathening multiple law suits.
