I simply do not understand why Americans are so terrified of a perfectly ordinary vaccination shot. Here in the UK, 90% of over 70s came forward to be vaccinated, and now we are onto the over 60s.My normal approach would be to approach any vaccination with timorous caution.
However:
I have an appointment for the first of 2 covid19 vaccinations tomorrow.
(the die is cast)
Anyone in here getting or gotten vaccinated for covid19?
Your thoughts?
I can understand it because it is a completely new type of vaccine (mRNA.) However, in a month, the phase III trials will have had the standard six months of followup, and at least based on evidence it will - at that point - be as safe as any other vaccine. (And I have no reason to expect any other outcile.)I simply do not understand why Americans are so terrified of a perfectly ordinary vaccination shot.

But these things had all been tested on tens of thousands of people before they were even licenced. By now 15 million in the UK have had them and goodness knows how many in the USA. thinking about bikini time?... at first glancing at the title, I thought this thread was about ''waxing.'' Wow, I need a nap.
Sorry, outcome.what is outcile?
Autoimmune reactions primarily, ones that may show up six months (or a year, or five years) after the vaccine was administered. But these things had all been tested on tens of thousands of people before they were even licenced. OK curious side effect to the vaccination (moderna)
My evening whiskey don't taste the same.
it lost it's smokey flavor and seems smoother(not that I'm complaining)
.......................................
just curious
did anyone get the watermelon sugar reference?
(my beloved spouse often says that I come up with obscure references and assume that everyone will know what I'm referencing)
i dont get the watermelon reference.
tastes
smokey flavour
where does that come from ?
carbon ?
aromatics of some range ...
i notice quite a difference in taste depending on how much fat or types of fruit i eat
the more animal fat i eat the worse my taste becomes in general
eating things like deep friend meats or items including red meat
wipes out a lot of the finer ends tones of my taste range
equally too much acidic food or increases in various vitamins or minerals
