The Earth is expanding , hence geological vault lines .

This seems to be one of those questions that there is insufficient data to postulate what would be a correct answer.
Not only is the planet not solid the latest research suggests that the inner core has an inner core.
The more you look the more you learn that you do not know.

The data is there is just depends on how you understand the data .

The planet is definitely not solid .

Who told you to stop learning and being creative ?

To your last statement . Then learn more , in the mainstream thinking and the thinking in Alternative theories .

Yep, geology is pretty cool. If you really want your mind blown, consider how the core stays molten - and how it maintains our magnetic field.

So, if the earth is not expanding due to accumulating mass and it isn't expanding due to an expanding hollow core, what is causing the expansion?

The planet is definitely not solid .
It is mostly solid. The crust is solid, the inner core is solid, the majority of the mantle (which makes up 84% of the Earth volume) is solid( a plastic solid, but a solid none the less)
The outer core is liquid.

Apparantly none of you lot are familiar with the " Earth Expansion " , neither was I until recently . Read up people .
