By definition, yes it is. "One that has committed or been legally convicted of a crime."
Is running a stop sign a crime, or is merely illegal? Not all law breaking is criminal. I think that is the point Leopold i strying to make.

I don't know. I've thought that all illegal acts are crimes and all crimes are illegal. What exactly is the difference?

None...

crime (krīm) Pronunciation Key
n.
1. An act committed or omitted in violation of a law forbidding or commanding it and for which punishment is imposed upon conviction.
2. Unlawful activity: statistics relating to violent crime.

Both mean 'breaking the law'.

Why would anyone even be arguing this, unless they are just bored and want to post bullshit?

Well this is what wiki says:

A crime is an act that violates a political, religious, or moral command considered important in protecting the interests of the State or the welfare of its citizens or subjects.

I guess one could argue that running a stop sign is a crime because it's a moral command that protects its citizens. Running a stop sign could kill a person and you have the moral obligation to stop.

Maybe?

You're all a bunch of pussies and I swear I don't have a gun.

yeah but whats your point?

coming over here illegally is not a criminal act.

ILLFnLEGAL Leopold. Is'nt the word self explanatory?

If you work for yourselves, no one will hire illegals and they won't come to the US.

Well consider all the menial labour they do. I would imagine the savings made on their wages more than pays for the free services they consume.

Bells and Sam are so understanding of the needs of corporate AMERICA. I'm gonna cry.:bawl:

Quoting from wikipedia (article on crime)
"Not all breaches of the law, however, are considered crimes, for example, breaches of contract and other civil law offenses."
Traffic offenses are not generally thought to be criminal offenses in many countries - that is my understanding, but I lacked the time to do proper research on the point.

There are varying degrees of crime, dont let this confuse you:

Leopold, for old times sake, lets just assume I took your above statements then dissected them minutely, displaying every facet of illogic, inaccuracy, stereotyping, and irrelevance that they contain, then spat them out, to your great chagrin.
'cause honestly, I'm just too tired to argue at the moment.:)
lay it on me offy, don't be scared.

then why aren't you taken to jail for it?

do you seriously believe that running a stop sign is criminal absane?

Umm, yes it is. It is against US law to be on US soil illegally. If this is the case for anyone, that makes them a criminal.
yes, i know.

Plazma Inferno!

How about all of the others on this web who use far more inflamority rhetoric and incite much more haltered? I have seen post that have called Sandy some very nasty names from the liberals on this site and they seem to have not been given a vacation.

if people insult christians the moderators dont care ofcourse, they only care if you insult atheists or jews.

peace.

i couldnt care less if you insult a religion. if you insult a person because of their religion it is a different story... unless they are trying to force their religion on others, in which case they are fair game.

samcdkey is continuosly targeted by bigots here. Sandy needs to shut up or grow a spine as thick as sam's. If bashing Muslims is OK here then by all means christians should be fair game as well.
