sniffy ponders..if myles deliberately misunderstanding sniffy...if yes i wonder why...sniffy not writing clearly enough...hmm...myles being awkward..sniffy being awkward....arrghhh!!!!
Anyway:

Scientists like to uncover how things work by observation and experiment.

Philosophers, on the other hand, tend to concentrate more on the whyfore with little if any experiment (trying hard to think examples of experimental philosophers) to back up their assertions.

Of course there may be some crossover between the two. However, I have sometimes observed a hmmm, friction, between philosophers and scientists. Empirical vs subjective and never the twain shall meet perhaps??
