Life and death in Game of Thrones

You mean like this...?

:D

Way to kill a thread, Bells. I personally think the Dragon Queen will swoop down and incinerate the lot of 'em. But who knows, she might be the next to die.

Spoiler alert! Some of the dead come back, like Sandor Clegane.

The Dog is back, as he's pissed off.

I remember mentioning this series in a thread years ago about fantasy novels people liked.

That it has now become an immensely popular tv series means a few things....

1. Y'all got the attention span of mayflies.
2. No one reads books anymore.
3. No one pays any attention to me.
4. I understand quality before anyone else does.
5. You weren't around back then.
Would this be the appropriate place to share in the sense of superiority that comes from having read the books before the TV series was thought of?

One of these days, somebody will get around to making a TV series or movie of Lord of the Rings. Just wait until those people who never read the books get a load of ... Oh wait. Ok. Forget I mentioned it.

Arghhh! We have Spoiler tags for a reason, you know.

It is from my perspective, certainly. That post was tongue in cheek, though.

Meh. GoT TV series isn't bad either. Nor is the LOTR movies series.
That admission can't even really be labelled "grudging".

I'll say this, with regard to a decent tv/movie adaption of a book I like:
I'll never picture Jon Snow as anyone other than Kit Harrington again. I'll never picture Arya as anyone other than Maisie Williams.
I can only vaguely remember how I previously pictured them.
By and large, they got the casting right.

That says something, doesn't it?
