Intelligence and Survival

Quite simple, it is Christoterrorism, because the "enemy" is identified by religion. And also attacked on that basis apparently.

The US is attacking people in Iraq merely for being muslim? I must have missed this on the news. Have they used saturation bombing yet? I'm betting: not. Meanwhile, non-muslims all over dar-al-islam - and outside of it - are being attacked precisely for their being non-muslim. This would actually be islamic terrorism.

Hence Islamofascists, Islamic terrorism, Muslim terrorist.

That's actually a different conflict, which is a bit more global of course. Does it mean that all muslims are "islamofascists"? Even if they were, are they all targets? Given the evidence, that seems silly.

Hmm I am a Muslim, I believe in jihad, I support the Palestinian fight for freedom.

Guess that makes me an Islamofascist, da?

IOW, find me a Muslim who does not believe in Jihad
And I forget why the Americans are in Iraq, could you remind me again?

Wasn't it because God told Mr Bush to attack Iraq?

God told me to strike at al Qaeda and I struck them, and then he instructed me to strike at Saddam [ Hussein], which I did, and now I am determined to solve the problem in the Middle East.

Yes, sadly, if you believe in jihad, or in the so-called "lesser" version.

WMDs, not God.

Thats evolution.

???Vietnam???

I'm beginning to believe that you're being deliberately obtuse:

If wars for plunder are acceptable, then whats the problem with terrorism? The little guy should be able to fight back, when he is outnumbered and out weaponed. Survival of the fittest, et al.

LOL What do suicide bombers have to do with survival of the fittest ??
Unless you mean that this way all the dumb idiots blow themselves up, leaving the intelligent people behind..

Not suicide bombing, terrorism.

Though one might say that suicide bombing is getting rid of the secular ones who think of political drama as effective; can only clear up the gene pool of future manic politicians.

Terrorism on the other hand, (or freedom fighters) is how Hezbollah got Israel to leave Lebanon; it has made armies and weaponry redundant, that "meme" was responsible for the NATO losses in Afghanistan and is the reason why America will never win another war.

Okay, what does terrorism have to do with natural selection?

Think about it, when was the last time a country won the battle but lost the war? And to a less trained, less well equipped small group of people?

So VIetnam represents evolution and I just don't understand this, being an individualist and all?

First you said that we were after the oil, then you said that it was because Iraq wanted to pay for the food-oil program in Euros, then you posited some nebulous conspiracy where Americans simply want foreign people to die, now it's because we're out to kill Muslims?

Jesus christ, woman, figure out what our evil scheme is.

Well that'll take you all day. Atheism is nothing if not efficient, you know. You must be a closet wiccan or something.

Some speculate superhuman intelligences may have goals inconsistent with human survival and prosperity. AI researcher Hugo de Garis suggests AIs may simply eliminate the human race, and humans would be powerless to stop them. Other oft-cited dangers include those commonly associated with molecular nanotechnology and genetic engineering. These threats are major issues for both Singularity advocates and critics, and were the subject of a Wired magazine article by Bill Joy, "Why the future doesn't need us" (2000).

That may be true for those speculators that lack super human intelligence. Higher the intelligence (barring no damage to the brain from STD), those people think differently than the speculators speculating about them.

SAM, that story is such bullshit I can't believe you're posting it. That story is based upon the word of a guy who can't even speak English. If it's not made up out of whole cloth, it's probably an error in translation. You think President Bush would tell this guy and no one else that he was on a mission from God? Who do you think he is, Elwood Blues?

PS Aren't there enough threads to bash Bush in without turning one on artificial intellegence into one?

The lack of intelligence on Bush's part is key to our ability to survive.

What makes you think Nabil Shaath does not speak English? He gave an interview on BBC to that regard.

Also,

Soon after, the Israeli daily newspaper Haaretz carried a Palestinian transcript of the meeting, containing a version of Mr Bush's remarks. But the Palestinian delegation was reluctant publicly to acknowledge its authenticity.

Besides, it sounds like Bush:

GWB said:
Former Palestinian foreign minister Nabil Shaath, now the Information Minister, describes the meeting with the US leader, in the BBC2 program, Elusive Peace: Israel and the Arabs.

He says: "President Bush said to all of us: 'I'm driven with a mission from God'.

"God would tell me, 'George, go and fight those terrorists in Afghanistan'. And I did, and then God would tell me, 'George, go and end the tyranny in Iraq . . .' And I did.

"And now, again, I feel God's words coming to me, 'Go get the Palestinians their state and get the Israelis their security, and get peace in the Middle East'.

"And by God I'm gonna do it."

Mr Abbas, who was also at the meeting in the Egyptian resort of Sharm al-Sheikh, recounts how the President told him: "I have a moral and religious obligation.

"So I will get you a Palestinian state."

Sorry madanthony, but Bush is a sure bet for an artificial intellegence implant device some day. So, yah, Bush is quite relevant. Maybe he's already got one and it insanely keeps executing the instruction: war with Iraq, Iraq is for war, war with Iraq, Iraq is for war . . .
