Love of country comes by loyalty to its government? As Undecided said in that forum, the premise of the US’ very existence [is] to disobey the government if what that government is doing is wrong. If you read most of the texts written by the founding fathers, this becomes quite clear. I think it was Thomas Jefferson that clearly said that this government has been created with a base of

I never doubted you as a good, hard worker, but I don't think that is much of an argument in a political debate, as Nazis were very hard workers also. Efficiency and productivity are not in any way correlated with morality. Except, maybe, at the very extremes: the hardest workers have no time for questions of morality, and the most moral people have no time for productivity. Gandhi would have been a terrible bullet factory worker, unlike you.

A socialist you are definitely not. You seem to be confusing several things in politics, though... there are social or political systems, such as fascism and democracy. There are economic systems, such as capitalism and socialism. There are political parties, such as the democrats and republicans. These parties choose representatives that have a wide array of beliefs on huge amounts of issues. When someone happens to agree with one party's candidate their entire life, it seem to me as if either that's one hell of a coincidence, or they have been doing very little research into what politics really are and whom exactly they are voting for.
