I recommend the final chapter of Nick Lanes book, "Life Ascending" it discusses brain injury and how very specific that can be. Damaged neurons are not repaired so the brain has to use other neurons in order to complete tasks. That could be something like speech or some sort of movement like walking.Клетки мозга при этом травмируются, и это и есть память? Как зарубки на дереве, если по аналогии?
The brain has to "re learn" and that can be successful, partially or not at all if there is too much damage.
