Great victory over political correctness and leftist propaganda

Well I would be taking just a little joy in the fact that someone with the ability to win is playing on the nations side.
Trump is not playing on the nation's side.
And by winning deserves at least recognition that he has done so and now rather than ask why is it so turn to a hope that this "winner" can hit some home runs for the team.
He might just do that. The only thing stopping him would be high government officials of great integrity, or possibly the Supreme Court. The one he can fire, the other he will be able to modify via appointment.

Have you taken a good look at that team? Considered what a home run for that team would actually be?

Have you taken a good look at that team?
The team I refer to is the nation.
Is it impossible to imagine that Trump may love his country and seek to do his best for it.
We can suggest his motives are not pure so is he doing it for the money or the power, I doubt he is doing it to make his friends richer.

Why could it not be that he wants to help?

I don't know but the losers are on a diet of sour grapes and can not see any virtue in the man and again that is probably another sign of underestimation which approach has already badly let them down.

I see emotion boiling away with no appreciation of what has happened or indeed why it happened.

The result is in the man has grabbed the highest most powerful office in the world and yet folk still fail to recognise let's say a little bit of talent.

And if that is not enough look at the money he spent and all or any of his opponents spent...does that fact alone not tell you something.

He beat the media does that not tell you something.

His opponents had the advantage in spades and they got beat.

I don't care but I find it funny folk miss the only relevant point...he won..he is the next President of USA.

Alex

I was actually referring to where you just called me stupid.

If fair, fine. When based on your imagination of things not said, not fine.
Why not? No more PC, right? We're now free to to tell people to go fuck themselves, right?

So... you can go **** yourself. Will I get censored for doing the exact same thing our president elect did? And are you, of all people, going to complain because I expressed myself in that way?

I would think once one has everything one will probably seek immortality in the sence of being remembered such that your name goes into the history of the world.

And I would expect if you are at that level your desire would be to be remembered and held up as one of the greatest men to have lived.

I suspect that to reach that high point one will be seeking to do the very best and better than those both before and after you.

It would not surprise me if Trump seeks such high recognition.

Hopefully all will benefit if he keeps applying his talent to achieve that sort of success.

He clearly enjoys recognition for being the best and as president hopefully that will be to everyone's benefit.

And if we all remain positive and happy our share portfolios won't crash.

Alex

The team I refer to is the nation.
Trump's not on that team. Look at Trump's team.
Is it impossible to imagine that Trump may love his country and seek to do his best for it.
Not impossible, no. You'd be a fool to believe that, though - look at his team.

And it wouldn't make much difference if it were true - he lacks the knowledge and ability necessary for divining, let alone accomplishing, good for the country. If he does any, it will be accidental.
Why could it not be that he wants to help?
Because he's at the head of his supporters - he's the leader of orcs, not angels. You don't bring orcs when your goal is to help.
The result is in the man has grabbed the highest most powerful office in the world and yet folk still fail to recognise let's say a little bit of talent.
Not my crowd. We've been making a nuisance of ourselves warning everyone within earshot about that guy's "talent".
He beat the media does that not tell you something.
Nonsense. The media was his tool, his ace in the hole, his big advantage.

He beat everybody else by using the media.

The implications are staggering. Americans just set their own mythography aflame.

It wasn't an anti-institutional year. This is about something else. This is about traditional supremacism. This is about wrecking everything in a temper tantrum because a bunch of supremacists don't like sharing with the people they declare inferior, or else this is about Americans affirming that they do not want nice things in their lives.

And, you know, something about the rhetoric suggests these voters aren't framing their decision as a deliberate and calculated dimunition of American quality of life. That is to say, sure, they're okay with that concomitant effect, but this is more likely about reasserting white Christian masculinity and its traditional hierarchy than anything else.

Whatever. Steve Benen↱ has a point.

You are correct he played them so well.
He knew they wanted exciting stuff and he sure did his part.

He beat them.

Further I did read the media bagged him via editorials and although I offer no authority suspect they gave him a hard time and in that regard I say he beat the media.

Anyways I only seek to point out what I thought to be obvious on the one hand and on the other hold out some hope that everything will be OK.

It is an Ill wind that blows no good.

Thanks for your response I enjoyed giving the matters you raise some thought.

I do think we should give him a chance though now that he is president. But the protests are a good wakeup call also to trump and the right that the old racist patriarchy of a nation will have to be modified, not just a version of the past.

Damn positive example.

The premise is anyone can be president and these recent events proves that rather well.

Yes yes yes! ... Trump is an excellent role model and one that has just been mandated by the USofA to go on doing what he does best...

Yep any one can become president.
But not every one can become a world leader... ( thankfully )

Its disturbing you think winning at any cost is all thats important. You reveal your true colors besides your posts that seem to convey some ethics.

That said, trump could possibly be a great president to use his business sense to make this country more wealthy but thats only one aspect. Being a great and beloved president, he will have to recognize everyone as well as become current on these changes, not just like a wall street tycoon stuck in the 1980's mentality.

I don't know what you mean.
I would be interested to know what you believe to be my true colours.

If you think I like Trump because I point out the obvious on the one hand and entertain hope on the other then I have probably not conveyed my personal feeling about how disappointed I am in the result.

I am a believer of everyone should stick to their job.
Hillary is a great politician and I recognise she may have made mistakes but she has spent her life refining her skill.
Add to that belief my hope that a lady could become president of the most powerful nation in the world you could say I was more than a little disappointed.
My let hate is domestic violence, in our small country, one lady dies each week at the hands of some scum bag who has fed upon a fundamental lack of respect for women that is allowed to dwell in our society (yours also).
Having a lady president could only help drive this unjustifiable lack of respect away.

In any event I would like to know what you think my true colours are because I find, as some wisdom comes to me, I somehow give an impression to others that I can't identify with.
I was surprised to find folk in my small area think I am violent when for 20 yes I do zip but they take one incident where I stood up for what was right to say I was violent..and I add although I had the advantage over the other man did not strike him or even belittle him.
Anyways reply if you can I enjoy your writings and much say you make me curious.

I am not sure what point you are trying to make and I don't like to hear about the many terrible things that happen to women but although your intentions may be good I find your post somewhat in poor taste.

I don't care what you think or believe but we now enter a different era and I am not one for disrespecting the office of president.

I hope we are not going to see similar nonsence as we did with President Obama.

You are mistaking being PC for being polite. Being PC is about censoring uncomfortable/dissenting ideas based on content. Being polite is about tone and attitude. You can't have a rational discussion if you are an asshole toward ideas you don't like, whether the ideas are good or not. But sure, you are absolutely free to be that way. But do you really want to paint yourself as an unthinking, immature, childish asshole? Clearly, there are people in this thread who do.

That said, I get the extra animosity today. People take politics very personally and many people blew gaskets over the election results. Meltdowns are to be expected.

That, that said, some of the people reacting this way are staying true to form, if more intense than average; some are virtually never capable of a rational discussion.

So by all means, spin that claim to be true
What spin? You're just a racist. Period.

See how that "No puppet", "No puppet", "You're the puppet" thing works? There is no need to back this up with citations or "proof". Proof, shmoof. You're a racist. Period. Because I said so.

What more do you need?

A claim was made - it is either factually true or factually false. If the claim is factually true, it cannot possibly be racist. If it is factually false, it might be. In either case, you weren't part of the discussion, so I'm not even sure what it is you are basing your belief that I'm racist....

....unless I'm misreading your post and you are just painting a caricature.

Quite the contrary - I'm resurrecting a form from my long suppressed past. Go **** yourself. Exuberantly and frequently.

Gosh it fells good to be unshackled.
