Everyday anomalies

Nobody wants to be famous for filming a ghost.
That is demonstrably not true - by your own doing - as witnessed by your very publications of their posts here.

You can't have it both ways. You livelihood here is publicizing videos of people who really really do like to get famous for posting ghosts. In fact one might argue it boosts their reputation in your circles.

It's just not the sort of thing that's good for your reputation,
Sure, because ordinary people who go on TV shows do it for the positive reputation, not for the money and fame...

So why did he? Did they put a gun to his head? Perhaps it's good for his pocketbook.

By the same logic, nobody wants to be famous for posting their opinion of a TV show, yet you immediately assume those people are lying. Why?

Nobody gets famous for making comments online. It's the luxury of remaining anonymous.
Right. So why would they lie? More to the point: Why do you assume the guy who has gotten famous is not lying, whereas the guy who has not gotten famous is lying?

By what criteria do you choose who is lying and who is not. You haven't met any of them and, by your own admission, you inherently believe any complete strange on the internet - you have no reason to assume a complate stranger is lying.

Surely any sane person, when considering the veracity of a bold claim, would ask whether they stand to gain from the claim.

Why would you want fame for filming a ghost? Like I said, it's not something you want to be known for.

And the trolls who make disparaging comments? Certainly no reason for believing they know a TV program is all fake. They always say that about paranormal reality shows. Never offer any evidence for such.

Ask the guy (and all the other guys you post here) why he did it? They know better than you what their motives are.

Like I said, it's not something you want to be known for.
Demonstrably false. You prove it with each video you post here.

Another indication that your beliefs are out of touch with reality.

And the trolls who make disparaging comments?
Again: how do you know they're trolls? You're putting the cart before the horse

Is it perhaps that 'they are trolls' because you don't agree with them? I'd say you are stuck in an echo chamber; unwilling and unable to tolerate the threat from people whose opinions are counter to your own beliefs.

It doesn't have to be all obviously fake, as you say. Any amount of dishonesty, in what is claimed to be a documentary, torpedoes all credibility.

"It's true your honour that I perjured myself on the stand once or twice, but that doesn't mean I everything I said was a lie. You can trust everything else I say."

They always say that about paranormal reality shows.
Spoken like a conspiracy theorist.

Never offer any evidence for such.

There is LOTS of evidence. We've even discussed them here.

I recall at least one show we disccussed where they went all apeshit to see video of a giant UFO fying right through their encampment, only to admit later that it was a bug that flew past the camera. These guys are supposedly experts. What they are is TV personalities whose primary job is to entertain and reel in gullible viewers.

Video of a girl disappearing into thin air.
Compelling evidence of a paranormal portal to who knows where! Will make a believer of the most hardened skeptic!

This girl isn't lying - because why would she? She doesn't want to be famous for posting videos of paranormal activity (bad for her rep).

Some of the best evidence I've seen for some animals abstracting physical regularities and norms from their environment, and having high-level awareness of when those "principles" seem violated.

How could it possibly demonstrate that someone's motive for sending in a paranormal video is to be famous? It doesn't. In fact it suggests the opposite motive that the video is real evidence for the paranormal and they want the world to see it. I know I would send in such a video, in spite of becoming famous for being the guy who sees ghosts.

If they didn't want credit for it, they would publish it anonymously. That would get the world to see it without and supposed unwanted negative publicity.

The point isn't that they do want to be famous or make money; the point is, a rational person won't dodge the question of 'is it possible that, for the effort of making a ten second video that has blown up into a TV show segment, that perhaps this guy was motivated for the attention and possible money it would garner?'

If you are not asking yourself that question, then you are not doing your job, and are burying your head in the sand to protect your own beliefs.

I know I would send in such a video, in spite of becoming famous for being the guy who sees ghosts.
You don't know that. You've never been in this situation.

Nope...the show requires them to identify themselves and include a description of every video. I've watched the series for years. Nothing is faked. They're just videos sent in by viewers of unexplained phenomenon.

You don't know that. You've never been in this situation.

LOL Of course I know what I'd do. I know me well..

You want to know why we're skeptics?

I already know why.,. Because you're protecting your worldview from the reality of unexplained phenomenon. It keeps you from having a nervous breakdown..

We all know what you'd do. We've witnessed it. It's matter of public record.

What we know - as a matter of documented public record - is that you are perfectly willing to lie and make stuff up to get attention, repeatedly. So, if you will, why not this guy? You are our own living, breathing example of why paranormal-enthusiasts should be examined with a huge amount of caution, skepticism and distrust.

In fact, it could be said that, in a small way, you have taught us that. You have shown us that some paranormal-enthusiasts will lie and make stuff up for attention - even when they pretend it's to "get the word out there".

You want to know why we're skeptical? Because of you and your ilk. You taught us that (some) paranormal-enthusiasts are liars.

taught us that (some) paranormal-enthusiasts are liars.

Oooo.. liars everywhere now. The man who took the video. The paranormal reality TV series. And now me somehow,. One wonders why all the paranoid overkill? Wouldn't only one liar explain it all away? Methinks the lady doth protest too much!

Really? What am I lying about? I posted the videos and their description. I even directed you to the website of the reality TV series that aired the video. What did I lie about? Maybe you're the one lying here..

More and more of these creatures are being caught on video. They look like squids made of black smoke flying in the sky.
A new cryptid for science to discover? Here's a few videos of them::

And if you think they are just squid kites, look at this kite. Looks nothing like them,
