Can artificial intelligences suffer from mental illness?

Fine

True

Here is my point ;

Robots does not lead to something better than us Humans

How many humans could not pass the Turing test?

It is said humans are the only animals that reason. But they do not reason much. Most do not know what critical reasoning is & do not care.

Not many , Turing was a genius , lets not compare

How I know , critical reasoning though is about the educational system . Critical Reasoning should be a class in the grade 6-9 . And should not be based on what we know now . Let these childern critize freely .

The Turing test, developed by Alan Turing in 1950, is a test of a machine's ability to exhibit intelligent behavior equivalent to, or indistinguishable from, that of a human.

Critical reasoning is 1st determined by each individual brain then it is by education & influence of family & society. It should be taught from Kindergarten on. But teachers would not be able to handle it until they themselves learn it & the education system is revamped.

Intelligent " behavior " , define " intelligent behavior "

the ability to comprehend or understand. It is basically a combination of reasoning, memory, imagination, and judgment; each of these faculties relies upon the others. a combination of cognitive skills and knowledge made evident by behavior.

The point is many humans would not be able to distinguish themselves as human.
The purpose was to see whether a human can determine whether they are communicating with a machine or a human when blindly communicating with a machine. It could also be done with 2 humans with 1 not knowing whether the other is human or machine. Or with neither human knowing.

Also whether the machine can convince or cause enough doubt.

If the human test subject cannot identify which responses are from the computer, then the computer system is said to be "intelligent". ... A test proposed by British mathematician Alan Turing, and often taken as a test of whether a computer has human like intelligence.
