Best movie of all time

just finished watching "planet earth" the complete series from bbc video.
although it isn't technically a movie i will treasure this series.
it has some remarkable footage of nature and i recommend watching it.

They shot that last Costner western in Kananaskis too. I rented a horse from someone who was training some of the actors, when I was there last in 2002. He said Robert Duvall was a bit of a bitch...which surpised me, 'cause he always seems so nice in interviews.

Cripes. Wouldn't have thought that. Duvall has always been one of my favorite actors. There was anoher film in Kananaskis..the Bear with Anthony Hopkins and Aiden Quinn. A buddy of mine did some set preparation and said Hopkins went out of his way to greet all the extras, have coffee with them and so on. Quinn on the other hand was an A-hole and pouted all the time about how primitive everything was (geesh, it was shot out in the wilderness, surprise)

Two westerns were filmed near here. 'Brokeback Mountain'....about 2 miles up the road from where I live and 'Unforgiven'...just the other side of Calgary. Can't bring myself to see Brokeback but Unforgiven was one of my all time favorite westerns. I also like Clint in all those spaghetti westerns.

No, you get me all wrong. I HATE westerns, as in cowboys in the desert type of bullshit. I mean I like western movies as in European/ American directors. I'm not into chinese shit

Must also make mention of The Gods Must Be Crazy, one of the most delightful movies it has been my good fortune to come across. The scene of the rhino stamping out the fire is my favourite!
