Trump 2.0

But insofar as "image" and perceptions go, the underlying point is that the GOP has clearly embraced a strategy antithetical to the Southern Strategy. Where previously they employed coded dog-whistles and the like, now they just say exactly what they think and believe. Anyone confused--and especially those pretending to be confused--by this--

Like I said, it's hard to see some of these things as people. It's something I "struggle" with, honestly, because more often than not, the person--the person--simply is not very bright. Were I a more generous sort, that would be the appropriate conclusion to draw from this guy struggling to comprehend the nature of "evidence".

Apology accepted.
It’s gone beyond politics.
It is about mindset, and mentality
Care to elaborate upon those hilariously vague generalities? (The same goes for your response to, heh, "what informed...")

Not for my benefit (I lack patience for those incapable of articulating, well, much of anything, really), but for "the record".

Wtf are you talking about?

You appear to lack patience, period.
Uhhh, maybe this is because you are mostly only reading my responses to you?

I honestly don't know whether you are simply trolling or simply stupid, and I honestly don't care. But your profligate use of vague generalities (as though they actually convey anything at all), your astonishing ignorance of history and policy, and your seeming inability to comprehend fairly basic matters--like what constitutes evidence, for instance--certainly points more to one than the other.

IOW I find you incredibly boring and uninteresting. I lack patience with that.

And seriously:
Wtf are you talking about?
Really? You can't work out what I'm saying there?

In London, Teslas are now being referred to as “swasticars”. Heh heh

Just gonna say it: the Nazis did make some great cars--Kraft durch Freude! My Volkswagens have all pre-dated 1985, so I don't have to concern myself with any of those shenanigans they got up to a couple decades later, but Tesla? It's fair to say that Teslas aren't really a "people's car" and some of them are just hideous, frankly. That said, and engineering aspects aside, cars stopped looking like cars for me at least 30 years ago.

Yup, the KdF-Wagen not only became the VWBeetle but was the ancestor of the Porsche. The Nazis also had the best uniforms. And the best (only) ballistic missiles.

But it’s a good thing that British people are picking up on Musk. After all, he is now trying to interfere in British politics. I won’t be buying a swasticar.

The sorts of projects and programs which birthed Volkswagen are conspicuously absent in the present day. Kinda begs the question: in what sense can the MAGA movement be described as "populist"? Similarly, the politics of Trump, et al, have been described as "transactional"--and they certainly are, with respect to the Tech Bros and other ultra rich allies--but with regards to everyone else? During the previous Trump administration there were certain small, token gestures made to workers in certain industries, and the like, but I'm not really seeing anything of the sort now. It's confounding. In the absence of pretty much everything else, whatever "transactions" remain seem to be wholly of a hateful, vindictive nature. We know that motivates a lot of people, but that alone? As little as I like Americans as a whole, generally, and always have to be honest, it's still rather disheartening.

No, Trump is personally transactional: “What’s in it for me?” Is his guiding principle. This trait is what drives his bid for autocracy. It does not follow that Project 2025 has a transactional nature. Seizure of institutions, and the coercion and intimidation of individuals is more its style.

This is historically familiar.

Common sense…
Tired of complete buffoonery..
A need for adults to clean up the toddlers mess…
Tired of the crime ( car jacking, murders, illegal immigrants…)
20-30 million illegal aliens crossing the borders completely unvetted
Someone who knows what a woman is…
The bumbling nonsense of a so call commander in chief..

I could literally write volumes as to what informed normal, rational, reasonable peoples choice as to what informed decisions to vote for Trump.
No you won't, because you can't and you never will. You're only able to regurgitate right wing propaganda and lies, which are easily fact checked with evidence. It's the same reason you refuse to answer questions as you know the answers will be lies, and you know they are lies, that can easily be fact checked. If you actually had common sense, you too would fact check the claims from your right wing propaganda and you know you would find out they are lies. Unfortunately, the truth doesn't work for you because it doesn't allow you the comfort of delusion.
But this just off the top of my head, having just woke up and not even had coffee.

That administration is the worst, and anybody that thinks they were a force for good is no different to them.

At this point, we have left politics, and entered into a rotting mindset, which Trump and his team are going to unveil for the world to see.

Have a good day, Bruh! ;)
While it would seem funny, it's actually very sad to see you fall for the propaganda and lies as Trump and his criminal cabal turn America in a fascist state. Of course, the brown shirts will come for you too some day and that will be the day you wish you never voted for Trump. That is what the world is seeing right now and that is why the world is turning against Trump.

You also have a good day, Bruh! There won't be many left. ;)

Oh, he’ll be down Walmart, buying his shirt.

Just curious, does anyone else have this problem?

In post #518, I wrote this:
It's really hard to recognize a lot of these things as people. I know I'm not supposed to say shit like that, but, seriously, "you people"? Is there anything that I have ever posted here that would lead a person--a person--to conclude that I'm a Democrat? Again, AI surpassed these things ages ago in all relevant regards--here, the critical aspect being reading comprehension.
as a response to a post made by Trek. I quoted Trek, so it's likely it crossed Trek's path. (In fact, Trek responded to this post, so presumably Trek read it?)

A few posts subsequent (#522), I wrote this in response to what one might conclude was either trolling or idiocy or ???

And this is the response I get from Trek:
Wtf are you talking about?

To be clear, I'm 97 percent certain that I am addressing another person here and not a bot. But there's always some doubt. Problems of this nature have obviously intensified over the past few years. AI has gotten "cleverer". But, in all honesty, I've been somewhat "confused" about these sorts of matters for most of my life--even back when AI was a crap iteration of Eliza and I could program comparable shit on a Commodore 64. And I'm a pretty crap programmer (these days I mostly write fairly basic embedded stuff in Python, C, whatever for pics and avrs--and I'm partial to rather primitive-looking web stuff).

Just something about people who are mostly and reliably incoherent. It's almost like encountering randomness or pseudo-randomness and being expected to discern patterns, which in most instances might suggest that pseudo- aspect--but even were that the case, that would still suggest some kind of pure Skinnerian monstrosity or something, and not... life, as it were.

I'm not talking literally here, just something near--underway towards, maybe? But it's become more prevalent--not the bots, the people--in a world where people who rely solely upon GPS think they're actually navigating in some way, and not simply following orders ("directions").
