Stephen Hawking: God NOT Needed For Creation

I agree that the controversy itself is probably only going to mean more people will buy or read the book.

But apart from the sideshows, the whole creation argument itself as I think I've tried to show, doesn't really get past the anthropic principle. We think about our history and how it's tied to the history of the universe, which created us, or more scientifically, allowed the conditions. Our existence intersects the cosmological wavefunction.

Our existence intersects the cosmological wavefunction.

Wow. That's gotta be the first time I've read something wacky and metaphysical-sounding on sci-forums and immediately seen the genius behind it.

I hope I'm not gonna turn in Lightgigantic or anything.

Please put me on ignore if I do.

I agree - it's certainly genius if it was a random thought... but... it should be common knowledge we are part of this great whole which is governed by the wave function. Even our actions are probably governed by some quantum wave probability action.
