Is there a way to find out who is linking to a page? Sort of a Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!ages that link here
Not that I'm aware of. Would be interesting though. This algorithm, by the way, is manipulated by way of "googlebombing" into such hysterical number one hits as: "Miserable Failure" leading to George Bush's page (alternating with Jimmy Carter and Michael Moore once Bush's cronies learned about it and retaliated), "Weapons of Mass Destruction" leading to a funny page saying they couldn't be found, "More evil than Satan" to a page on Bill Gates, etc... I'm saddened to learn that Google has altered its algorithm in such a way as to prevent googlebombing from working anymore. I suspect that it didn't so much alter its algorithm as work on a case by case basis.
I'm sure someone will find a way around that as well. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Part of the answer was given here: Mostly it is the uniqueness of you search phrase combined with how recent it is.
Uhm.. lol I can see a symbolism here but I don't think you intended it that way, at least not the way I see it. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
