Enmos, as I was wrong about my first choice -you weren't even a candidate by then though- you are my new first and Dywyddyr is second.

But, but, but he's... Dutch!
:bawl: :bawl: :bawl:
Aww.. you're still my hero Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
As I should be.
(But I must admit to a certain affinity for Enmos, foreign though he is. Definitely on my list of "SciForummers I'd buy a pint for".)
If it wasn't for the stupid English the Dutch would have ruled the world! Or at least what's now the US Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
I don't want to start to study English grammar, with basic math and logic all over again. I am 34! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Seriously, he is more suitable for the job. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
What are you implying?
That I'd be strict about things like that?
Two day ban for a misspelling, one week for a grammatical error...?
And you're 33!
That's another one-week ban Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Pfft he only won the last competition between him and me because I dropped out. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
You still have my heart! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
I feel like Dukakis facing down with Bush. "Thousand points of light". What the hell?
Anyway, I feel that Enmos and Dywyddr would be fine for Mod of the forum...but they lack a certain panache. A...I don't know...Geoffness. Now, it's not their fault. I want you all to understand that. Some of us are born to greater things.
But in a double anyway, I'm suspecting I don't carry the right mod weight to "ascend".
Oops... i jus fount out ther was mor moderaters than i realized so i hadnt actualy send a frind request to all of 'em... an also... at this time i thank my frindship has been excepted by everbody i sent the request to escept for 1 person who dont partake in the frind thangy.!!!
This place is mor frindly than i realized Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
It seems everyone dreams of ruling the world as if the world is their personal property........:shrug:.....!.
Just PM and ask him...
Since we're washing dirty linen
S.A.M. was kicked out because of her views on Israel, she has a PM from Plazma if anyone wants the details; it followed the "Are you blind?" thread by (Q) - my extremist views would be what the Goldstone report has outlined, in much more horrific detail than I ever managed. Note that there is not a single point related to my role as a moderator [of Biology and Science & Society] only my political/religious views . This is like watching the Lobby at work [you can't do biology because you're a Muslim who hates Israel!]
(Q) quit because SAM would not debate religion with him in the mod forum. It was exceptionally silly and Plazma waited for several days before he accepted it [probably couldn't believe anyone would quit over something like that].
The mods can post the thread where he announced it if they dare, or my response to his post and his to mine. The last three might suffice.
Asguard was kicked out because he banned two people for a day for trolling. Since he is a dyslexic idiot, he is not allowed to take such action on his own, like Skinwalker is, being a smart erudite and exceptionally gifted individual which gives him super powers [like banning whoever he wants to].
Absane and spidergoat both left because they got fed up for different, individual reasons. Spidergoat announced it, I don't recall that Absane even said anything at all.
Avatar was kicked out because he brought into public a private discussion on a poster; I think he overreacted to what he saw as back door debates on poster behaviour but he was an icon at sciforums and we did lose a good poster in him, he was one of the few who was not afraid to represent himself and his photos and activities are archived here.
Some of us were asked and thought they would do something more for the forum other than just have politically incorrect discussions at an exponential rate. This was back in the days before they realised that free speech does not necessarily mean equal platforms. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Btw, this is not to discourage anyone from moderating, which by itself, is pretty straightforward and uncomplicated. If you listen to people and tell them why you moderate as you do, its usually easy to get them to cooperate. Most of my moderation issues were resolved by one on one communication with the posters and did not even require me to warn them.
Sciforums story is like a saga now...a ship sunk deep beneath the surface of the sea, with its all its mysteries, captains, and sailors. Except there is some oxygen left in Sciforum's ship and the captains have gotten away with all the "unnecessary" breathers. I pray one day we will escape this Mariana Trench. Rise up beneath the pressure of moderation ocean and break ourselves free, the worldwould be changing at its core. Long live great Sciforums nation built by the people and their mighty hands long live young nation united and free shining in glory for all men and women to see.

Isn't it rather more like a dirigible filled with farts, which people presume must be capable of flight because methane is lighter than air - but due the "Moderational Framework" being comprised of a lead alloy, is actually insufficiently buoyant to take to the air ?
Notwithstanding the aforementioned, why do the people's mighty butt cheeks never receive mention in that infamous Soviet anthem ?
You know, you can't lift things up off the ground without a good solid rump as a pivot-point activator... ...or something... ...and you sure as the Devil is red can't build anything without heaving your proverbial ho, if you get my drift.
we are now in our sunday's best and the laundromat is closed.
I will also print GUMPUS, the official currency of sciforums. Each member will be granted 5000 to start. It is not transmutable into any other currency, and has no value outside of sciforums. You can transfer it freely among yourselves, and without further speculation let's implement the GUMPUS!
