Acting like a clown doesn't insinuate you are doing it to "be funny"... rather, it implies you are acting foolishly, a simple and quite evidence observation.

You continue to claim that the evidence you provide, and the TYPE and QUALITY of evidence you provide, is sufficient to make your claim.
However
When someone uses the EXACT SAME kind and quality of evidence, or even better quality (crystal clear pictures, easily repeatable and proven studies, biological and physical facts) you claim said evidence to be "insufficient" or somehow wrong, and hand-wave it away.

It is, at best, a disingenuous double standard (if we assume you honestly do not know better), at worst outright dishonest and deceptive (assuming you do know better).

This is a perfect example... you are knowingly and willfully being deceptive - there were TWO different "eye-witnesses" interviewed, who saw the exact same "thing". Yet, their stories are different. Instead of acknowledging that simple fact, you choose to make up some bullshit excuse and try to hand-wave away this information... that is dishonest. Can you seriously NOT see that?

LOL! You can't even read can you? Here's what Trippy said:

"it seems that two eyewitnesses of the same North Korean press release reported observing different things..."

The eyewitnesses here are Bells and Yazata---eyewitnesses to the the same PRESS RELEASE. As if reading a press release is being an eyewitness to the event it describes.

And so that's why you get ignored. Like Paddoboy, rarely is anything you say worth responding to. This is in addition to simply ignoring you because you are always disingenously trying to construe everything I post as intellectually dishonest just so you can ban me.

Reading about an event counts as an eyewitness account of that event? I don't think so..

According to you it does.

But that's beside the point. I can't work out at this point if you're being ignorant or deceptive.

Read for comprehension:
Gosh, would you look at that - it seems that two eyewitnesses of the same North Korean press release reported observing different things...

Neither Yazata, Bells, nor myself have seen the actual North Korean Press release (besides which, that's three, three is one more than two, which is what I said), so clearly I wasn't talking about Yazata, Bells, or myself with that statement.

See, the way it works is this: North Korean press agency issues a release - this is the 'event'.

There are multiple eye-witnesses to this event.

Yazata has quoted the testimony of one, reported as a news article, whilst I quoted the testimony of another.

QED.

And by the way?

Thankyou for so perfectly and wonderfully illustrating the point that everybody has been trying to make to you about how the brain fills in missing information.

According to you it does.

Nice try but no cigar. You said TWO eyewitnesses not three, of the SAME press release. The SAME press release they both read. That'd be Bells and Yazata. Are you always this intellectually dishonest?

In any case, reading a press release doesn't make anyone an eyewitness to the event it describes. And Kittamaru misread it as being two differing eyewitness accounts of the EVENT, not of the press release. So my argument stands.

And yet the point still stands - they saw the same thing and got different information out of it.

Magical Realist - your deception is noted and thoroughly broken... get over yourself. You are salty that your use of double standard is outed, that nobody buys your crap, and that you get called out for it... IOW:

As for my incorrectly stating about the account and interview, my apologies. It doesn't alter the fundamental point in the slightest, but the technicality is there.

Right, but it was me that introduced the North Korean press release, not Bells.

Me, Bells, and Yazata make three.

Bells was basing her comments off my statements, so that would make her testimony hear-say, not an eyewitness statement - if I had been counting myself as an eyewitness, which I wasn't.

I am explaining to you precisely what I meant - that by the two different eye witnesses that I was referring to, I was referring to the two different news agencies that Yazata and myself, and by extension, Bells, were relying on.

Admit it, you were wrong.

Reported to the mods for vulgar trolling.

Summarily ignored since all you do is troll :)

You have to remember Magic Mike - what's good for the goose is also good for the gander.

And so that's why you get ignored. Like Paddoboy, rarely is anything you say worth responding to. This is in addition to simply ignoring you because you are always disingenously trying to construe everything I post as intellectually dishonest just so you can ban me. Add to that your nauseating gradeschool memes, which is blatant trolling, and well, it's a wonder you're mod here at all.

As other members have said - if you don't like being called a clown, wipe off your face and quit acting like one. It's a pretty simple concept, though I guess it doesn't surprise me you refuse to see it... even in the vaccination thread you intentionally blinded yourself to facts and the truth just so you could push your own agenda. It's... quite puzzling, really. I cannot fathom why someone would willingly forgo truth and logic in favor of, well... whatever you wish to call what you are doing.

Even if we did provide the "background stories" that you're demanding of the Unicorn footage, you'd just claim that they were made up.

You mean you are ignoring me? I'm mortified!
But all sarcasm aside, the reason why you do ignore me is that you are unable to counter common sense arguments.....
Like paranormal and supernatural claims are unscientific
Like UFOs of Alien origins require extraordinary evidence, which has never been forthcoming. [not considering isolated anal probing of isolated individuals]
Like absolutely no reputable evidence exists for Bigfoot.
In fact to claim any of the above to be real is to be gullible and stupid in the extreme.

According to you it does.

Please do not condescend, Trippy.

Neither Yazata, Bells, nor myself have seen the actual North Korean Press release

I was commenting on the text of the thing Bells posted in post #707 in this scrambled thread. I don't know where that text originated. It seems to merely report the discovery of a stone with the inscription 'unicorn's lair' on it.

This may or may not be the North Korean press release.

http://www.kcna.co.jp/item/2012/201211/news29/20121129-20ee.html

(It's ostensibly the North Korean new agency's webpage, but it's a '.jp' Japanese web address, so I'm not entirely sure what it is.)

And here's a Wikipedia page on the tomb of King Tongmyong, which provides a lot of the missing context.

https://en.wikipedia.org/?title=Tomb_of_King_Tongmyong

Apparently King Tongmyong and the Goguryeo dynasty has a prominent place in North Korea's national mythology. Probably because the regime insists it was centered in Pyongyang, the North Korean capital, which they apparently believe gives their regime legitimacy. There are all kinds of myths associated with this king, including a miraculous birth, and the king is considered to have been divine. The legends are recorded in 3'd century CE Chinese sources, so this king was very early, assuming that he is an historical figure at all.

The Wikipedia article reports that a Soviet author reports that Kim Jong-il complained that a major shortcoming of North Korean archaeology was that "archaeologists had failed to locate the tomb of King Tongmyong. In 1974, North Korean archaeologists produced the required tomb, which was duly 'restored' and became a tourist attraction. Although it was initially an authentic Goguryeo tomb known under the reference Jirpari Tomb #10, there is no further evidence that this tomb is King Tongmyong's."

So... 'discovering' an inscription supposedly congruent with an aspect King Tongmyong's abundant legend (which apparently includes his riding unicorns) was probably intended to plug that gap and to tie him to the site.

Trippy wants full credit for posting the unicorn evidence from Korea that he doesn't believe in to begin with. lol! Like that's something to really be proud of. That's the insane lengths they will go to just to win their little game here.

Why does Trippy need to believe it?

It's just as good as the evidence you provide to explain your magical fantasies. Belief is irrelevant.

Why does anybody need to not lie and not pretend to support evidence for something they don't believe in? It's called intellectual honesty..a basic premise for anyone trying to discuss topics in a forum. Intellectual dishonesty only gets you ignored for trolling.

How do we know if you really believe in ghosts, bigfoot or UFOs and aren't just trolling?

The issue isn't about belief. It's NEVER been about belief. It's only ever been about EVIDENCE.

The evidence for unicorns is every bit as good as your evidence for ghosts, bigfoot and UFOs. Why do you accept that but not this? Why are you making a distinction based on belief when all that matters is evidence?
