Recently joining the realm of the single world got me thinking. Are there any singles sites that cater to the computer nerd/geek? And if not, who's with me to start one? It strikes me that elligible attractive female computer nerds are in short supply; there needs to be a network to track them down.

Personally, I found more success from random encounters than dedicated mating pools.

I once saw a cartoon of a woman being matched to a gorilla, and an employee explaining: "We just put your request in the computer: Strong silent type, well groomed, prefers outdoor life..."

Nerd Dating

Guys, guys, guys, guys.
There's no need to look. Just show 'em your stuff on Tetris or Bubble Bobble, and they'll fall right into your lap.

Maybe I'm not all there yet, but you can take a look at my adventures with women at nerddating.blogspot.com. I bet you'll pick up a few things from the Woman Expert Level 50.

Looks like it's in it's infancy, fred. I'll pop back though. Not bad, as spam goes.

Anyway: welcome to DateMatch! It's often been said that

Who wants to go first?

To have a dating site, you need more girls than boys, or at least somewhat similar amounts. There are about 10 male geeks for every female, so a nerd dating site would be more like a pack hunt than anything else. The most awkward, unshowered, introverted pack hunt in history, but a pack hunt still. Which would turn off most women, which would drain the supply even more, which would doom the site.

I also find it hilarious that a nerd's first reaction to being single would be to find a website. How about going out of the house and meeting people? No?
