You are one of two things:
    - utterly ignorant of the very basics of rocketry and Newton's laws of motion, or
    - a troll.

    Which is it?

I forbid you from discussing this topic further until you have answered the above question.

I'm afraid it is much more basic than that. Nevermind the math, Spence admits to not knowing even the most basic of concepts about rocketry.

A quick glance at http://www.sciforums.com/members/?type=staff confirms you have no authority at SF to forbid anyone here from doing anything.
But nice of you to echo my troll call in another thread.

And that is your idea of a sensible reply? Sigh. But maybe there is a special deputy sheriff arrangement here unbeknown to folks like me. Feel free to inform me if so.

Things that are adorable about you:
    - you presume such content-free spleen-venting posts warrant any reply at all, let alone a sensible one,
    - you think a 'troll' is just 'someone you don't like', whereas you don't think a 'troll' is someone who deliberately "shit-posts" silly concepts such as 'rockets need air to push against' just to get a reaction',

    but most adorable of all:
    - you looked me up to figure out I wasn't actually forbidding anyone from posting anything. I have a fan! Have you checked out my Nobel Prize? (That oughtta keep you busy...)

I'd suggest we get back on-topic, but it is clear to all (except Q-reeus apparently) that the OP is just trolling, so there's no real topic to get back to.

You have become unhinged. Pulled up too many times by yours truly for posting shit, while posing as an instructor of babes. Truth often hurts, and it's showing loudly with you.

Your misguided speculations are unfounded garbage !

Rocket science is simple science !

Taking you back to a previous post #49

There is no air on the moon for combustion

We can see in the video , flames on the launch platform

A nice troll, opening up yet another avenue of faux-ignorance on your part, this time to do with the chemistry of rocket propellants.

Presumably to the tune of Tannenbaum?

The thrust is against the ship. There, that was simple.

I guess that is why we brought our own oxidizer.
For example the lunar module ascent engine used Aerozine 50 fuel, and a N2O4 oxidizer.

    Troll is trolling.

    The combination of
    - cliche-like misunderstanding of rocketry (needs air to push against, no combustion in space, etc.)
    - emphaticness of conviction and use of exclamation marks
    - refusal to actually address valid physics
    is a dead giveaway.

Yes, yes it is. Perhaps learn about it! It's an interesting subject.
That's why jet engines don't work there but rockets do.
And you can see in SpaceX launch videos, flames from the second stage when it ignites outside our atmosphere.

you may be talking to one of the keto scam posters who keep posting those threads trying to get people to give them their credit card numbers etc.

posting troll posts baiting the site to test the water from the inside

conspiracy theorists tend to be more interested in fake vitamin sales media buying things on impulse sales gimmick talk.

Do you mean the videos that show live real footage of a lift off , then when they enter space they switch to CGI video ?
