Why does God not follow the Golden Rule? His best rule?

I have a hard time seeing God as --- doing unto others as he would want done to himself --- in the clip above. I cannot see God wanting someone to do what he did to the women who owned those wombs to him. He is therefore certainly not walking his talk or fallowing his own good advice.

It seems that people are more responsible than God as we are trying to get everyone on board the Golden Rule that God ignores.

This is likely man's first moral tenet and is a part of our instincts.

It is in every theology and philosophy that I know of.

    Huh?

    Get the quote please.

A glitch to that thinking is that scriptures tell us to emulate and be like God in all ways.

If he needs not follow his rules and we are to be like him then we should not either.

Take your thinking to those glitches and you will agree on the immorality of a God who say, do as I say and not as I do.

Say one was an alcoholic, trying to teach his son, not to take this path. The father can see the better path and through love, wants to protect him, and not flatter his own ego. Sometimes the light is brighter in the darkness.

John, also called Mark was the favorite of Jesus.

Jesus answered, "If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you? You must follow me."

John is not killed like the rest of the disciples. He is exiled to Patmos, where he would write Revelations. He does not die until he sees Jesus, again, in his visions. He may not seen himself as perfect.

1 Thessalonians 5:21 Test all things; hold fast what is good.

Scriptures tell us to judge but if you do not want to use your mind and intelligence to see what is good, I understand.

If people could get past how other people looked then, maybe, our world would be a better place.

people usually dont follow the golden rule when they are preoccupied with something that interest them, or if they believe you don't deserve to treated with golden rule, or they just dont care, in all those cases its the lack of love they have for others
