I've lived with a Samoyed for 10 years, he died of a genetic heart disease in 2011... he was my everything... one time I was half asleep, I was about to wake up, wanting to wake myself up but my mind was still in a dreaming state, in that moment I heard a voice, an actual young man's voice I've never heard before in my life, it said "..I can't believe you are still sleeping, wake up!" ...... and then I jumped out of the bed, heart beating fast, and then I saw him, he was there, sitting by my bed, staring at me with a bored face, leaning against the wall and waiting for me to take him out for his walk, like always, but that day I overslept... of course he didn't talk to me in english but, I believe my mind translated it... and received his thoughts... when I tell others they don't believe me but I know what I heard, he talked to me. It was telepathy...

...and another time I was walking back home from somewhere, it was night time, there wasn't anyone on the streets... and it was windy, sometimes windy/stormy weather can make me feel drunk, it has a strange, positive effect on me, I was like sleep walking, breathing the chilly air, my eyelids were getting heavier... and then I heard an old male's voice, it came from the huge old tree that was right in front of me, it said, "what have they done to me.." and I froze when I heard it, I got really scared and I just stood there and kept staring at it... it talked to me, I'm sure of it, and I'm not mentally ill. lol.

..I tried doing it, hearing other creatures but seemingly it's not something that I can control...

There are many things that could explain such strange occurrences; given that both occurred while you were in a semi-lucid state, it is possible you experienced a waking dream while still maintaining some level of consciousness; it would explain why the events ended abruptly upon you realizing what was going on, as the shock of such an unusual occurrence would bring you back to a more awake state. The voices were your minds interpretation of what you visually saw yet did not "observe" in your semi-awake state.

Then again, it is possible you were communing with the spirits of the entities in question; I try to keep an open mind about things as there is a lot we simply don't know about our own bodies, much less that of everything around us.

Probably you were hallucinating on both times because sometimes semilucid states lead to hallucinations. Sleep deprivation can also cause it.

would you have an opinion if I said I can't get drunk by using alcohol? I won't ever get drunk no matter what or how much I drink, I didn't even get drunk in my first time, I was very upset that day, I wanted to lose myself, I wanted to be unconscious, relaxed... like other people. I got a huge bottle of whiskey and I drank it all up within 7 or less minutes, and I waited, nothing happened I didn't even get sleepy... I'm not a drinker but I never get drunk when I drink, I am extremely self-aware and I don't even know how I got to this point... is that why I can't get drunk?

I believe it to an extent - I myself am highly resistant to the inebriating effects of Whiskey, Rum, Vodka, Scotch, and other "hard" drinks... yet two or three wine coolers, a large glass of (sweet) wine, or a large mudslide is enough to make me giddy and silly (though I have never gotten totally drunk). I have come to believe it to be a part of how my body metabolizes the alcohol in the presence of sugar - without the sugar, my body just shrugs it off. With the sugar, it hits me hard and quick, though I have never gotten a hangover and I recover much, much faster than any of my friends. I also don't appear to suffer the reduction of fine motor skills (though my speech does slur sometimes if I have more than three wine coolers in an hour... I try not to make a habit of that)

    You say...

    But then say...

So how do you know the difference between the two if you never got drunk?

that's a different kind of drunkenness though, like intoxication, I don't lose my consciousness in that kind of weather I just feel intoxicated, because I'm a sad, romantic punk, that's different, cause I know how real drunk people look like and act like.

Actually, if you physically heard (instead of sensed it in your mind) a tree talk to you, I would not be so sure that you are not menatlly ill. If you really think that you are hearing voices from trees and animals you should probably get yourself checked out by a health professional.

    Good Luck!

lol - of course that's all you people can say when something you are not able to understand happens to another person... but let me tell you something, if you can't understand the fact that I'm not mentally ill from the way I type here, then you are the one who needs to see a "professional" cause that definitely points out that you have very low brain capacity. (too bad it can't be cured)

    good luck!

Since I have depression problems I go to a professional for their HELP not to be belittled by them. If you should go to see a doctor and tell them what you are experiencing then it would only be to HELP you not ridicule you. That is of course if you want to go to see the doctor. I don't think you need to myself but I'm not a doctor but would say if this happens regularly then it might be helpful to go.

there wasn't always doctors in this world... I hate it when people suggest this as soon as they run out of ideas and thoughts just because they can't understand a certain situation just like mine... I did hear them, I didn't hear them with my ears but I heard it in my head... plus I'm a person with mental qualities and capabilities of a real psychologist, on the contrary, I would help THEM.

Your overblown estimation of your abilities not withstanding, I am glad to hear that the voices were actually akin to ah, musing in your mind. We can all convince ourselves of about anything, but actual aural hallucinations are nothing to be trifled with.

So in that case, enjoy your new age cosmic journey!

    Nataliee,

You are the only observer to what you see or hear, however you should question whether your senses are reliable, what you might "believe" might be somewhat different from the truth itself. For instance I know it's physically possible for certain groups of people using technology to manipulate the voice in the head phenomena on unwitting people. Their purpose for the most part is warped, they use people as study subjects and for they enforce a persons own delusion to manifest into far greater states of decay. If you attribute a voice to being that of an animal, a tree, a dead spirit, an angel, alien etc, then that is you putting something together to explain it to yourself to give it some reason for being, but like I said that's potentially a person at the end of some sinister equipment allowing you to set the parameters on where to take that delusion and their purpose isn't academic (since it doesn't follow the Nuremberg Code in the principles of asking for a person to volunteer or giving them the option to pull the plug when ever.)

I guess what I'm saying is the next time you hear one of those voices, treat it as an outsider trying to manipulate an deceive you, since that is what they are and see what develops out of it. (Just remember they are as human as you and I, or at the very least a posed personification of a group project which is either conducted by some very secretive governmentally employed individuals or unfortunately "self-profaning cultists" who have an agenda.

Big deal, you were half asleep and imagined you heard something. The mind does this all the time, but we usually filter out the stuff that isn't real. Hallucinations by themselves aren't necessarily a sign of mental illness, normal people have them too. The only problem I have with your statement is the misuse of the word "actual".
