Not simply because of their actions, but they aren't really united nations. There is not only much much bias, but united? For instance, two enemies will be within the united nations! How are they United? Syria and Israel are both within the UN, we aren't united!
That's a laugh. The United Nations would only work under a One World Government, or under a true unity. If aliens attacked us tomorrow, they wouldn't have a problem considering we're already killing ourselves.
Just a hypothetical situation. Anyway, just noticed that.

They are united in that they both belong to the community of nations. Delegates from member nations agree to certain principles of international law. They share certain treaty obligations. They agree to debate in the General Assembly etc. etc. They also agree to Security Council jurisdiction over them.
Syria and Israel are both within the UN, we aren't united!
Syria and Israel are both signatories to many of the same international treaties.

If we were united, there would be no need for the UN.

I remember all of the sanctions against Saddam Hussian when he was in power and none of them really changed his verocity.

Millions of childrens lives were changed.Permanently.
"Depleted" Uranium posioning and a lack of medicine don't really give them a chance to survive.
The UN is one of the ways rich people get what they want. Its like a chess piece against the rest of us to them. As is the world bank, the EU, the world court etc...

If you honestly believe that more rich people have benefited from UN efforts than poor, or that the wealthy in general have garnered a larger slice of the UN pie than the impoverished, I challenge you to make your case, and take up the discussion in a similarly-titled (http://www.sciforums.com/showthread.php?p=1737491#post1737491) thread. Considerably more has already been covered on this subject there:
