I've seen few hours back "Save Sciforums" compaign ad along with first posts of a page. It showed $0 raised then. A couple of hours back it was $25, then suddenly it went up to $225 as of now. Kudos and thanks for these SAVIOURS of this forum who generously helped Porfiry's compaign to keep sciforums alive. I just registered for a paypal A/c and it would take a while for me to send my meagre contribution. Those contributed so far made me feel humble by their generosity, thank you gain, folks. All sci friends, please keep this tempo up.
It's fun nudging the bar up a little. Anyone who whined over downtimes will, I trust, contribute (I did). Many of us know it's not easy finding a friendly forum populated with a lot of smart people. Anyone with a higher-than-average post count should consider donating regularly (I will). I join everneo in thanking everyone else who contributes, in any amount at all- remember small sums add up to real money in this worthwhile investment. Just think of all of your past posts and exchanges that you can preserve to look back on in the future, and it only requires pitching in a little petty cash now and then.
Yeah, its kinda nice to see the bar rising isnt it? Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!... i mean it was like 375$ couple of hours back and now its 385...keep up the good work fellas. Way to go!
I gave all but a few cents, I will give again when my transfer goes through, so I get to make it nudge up twice =].
I"ll think of donating some more, if count is coming to something like 580 or something and still cant get it through to that magic figure...
I have a couple of questions... 1. What happens if we don't reach the $600 mark? 2. How long will $600 save sciforums for? When will another $600 be needed? I'm considering contributing, but I'd like to know exactly what I'm getting for my money. Sorry...
grrr, i hate paypal, i finally gave in and attemped to use it for the sake of sciforums, but i need either a credit card or a bank account in yankland. dammit!!
