http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=f3d_1195171937 How do you think this man should be dealt with. I personally fully support this man he should be given a medal.
No, what he did was illegal. He killed 2 men over stuff that wasn't even his. There was no threat to anyone's life. It was just stuff. He took the law into his own hands because he and he alone decided he could.
He fired two shots with a shotgun and only struck each man once? He should definitely be brought up on charges. People with aim that bad don't deserve to be loose on the streets.
Unless they were armed, he's getting charged with murder, manslaughter at the very least. In a situation like that, if they run away, you may not shoot them. You are only allowed to use lethal force if you feel your life is threatened. Someone running away from you, even if they have property that belongs to you, does not constitute a threat to your life.
If you listen to the recording he was a scared old man with very strong feeling that what was happening was wrong. I don't think he was thinking straight at the time and he certainly didn't enjoy the experiance or in anyway create the situation. He found himself in a situation in which his feelings of justice were so strong that we was not going to let it pass.
Fuck those thieves. It's not like this is their first or will be their last time stealing things from someone else's home. Most crimes are commited by the same groups of people, not one-time accounts. What happens next time when the home is occupied with just a mother feeding her baby, or even come armed, or not armed but still become violent to grab what they want. Let's see whatcha do over that when you become the victim of a crime gone wrong. And it's only property, psssh. Even just a small bag can be worth a lot. Some fucker robbed by grandparent's home once and only took some jewelry. But guess what? They were old English heirlooms worth over $200k, worth more than their house at the time. - N
Why would anyone want to protect a thief? Why would anyone give any "rights" to someone who was blatantly violating the rights of others, and trying steal from others? Why does any society on Earth want such people in their midst? Baron Max
As long as thieves are set free and roam the streets, knowing they're out there, it makes them feel that there's at least some people they're better than. You know, kinda like the "fat friend syndrome". Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! - N
Anytime YOUR LIFE is threatened you can use deadly force to protect yourself. This isn't the case here. The man wasn't threatened at all and could have just called the cops but he didn't. What if these ALLLEGED burglers were children of about 14 to 16 years old and they were just messing around? There are many things that this man did WRONG and he should be held accountable for his very stupid way of handling this situation. What if these ALLEGED burglers were your children and this happened to them, would YOU think he did the right thing then???
I guess that means you can shoot teenagers TPing your tree. Its just stuff. Life has more value than stuff.
Dont steal other peoples shit if you dont want to get shot. They got what they deserved, end of story.
Did they break into the persons house? I have been robbed 4 times, it sucks and I have no sympathy for these men. I dont think they should have been killed, but thats the risk you run when you try and rob someone. I dont think the man who shot them should go to jail. I also dont know enough of the story to really make a sound judgement
They were wrong too. I dont think that they deserved to die, but I dont think that he should spend the rest of his life in jail for trying to stop some crimminals.
I cant hear the audio on the clip, can you hear if the two men ran from the home owner or did they come at him, we certainly cant see, and the story doesnt tell us.
That's a tricky one. Those thieves could have caused harm to the occupants of the house, but then again, they could have been stupid kids that just needed to be scared straight. He's not a bad person, but you can't just shoot people for breaking the law.
