It isn't Free.....The Democrats Lied

Guess what, I just listened to a Obama press conference and He has now admitted the truth,

The Great Health Care Reform that Obama and the Democrats shoved down our throats, isn't going to be free, and cost are going to go up.

If your household income is $66,000 a year, it will cost you $700 a month — to buy health insurance before you get any federal subsidy.

If you only make $44,000 a year, will have to pay 7 percent of your income (about $3,000) on insurance before you get any federal subsidy.

At just $33,000 will still have to ante up 4.5 percent of their income (about $1500) for health insurance.

And,

If your are living at the federal poverty level of $22,000 you will still have to shell out 2 percent of your totally inadequate incomes ($440) for insurance.

Yes, and the liberals thought they were going to get free health care.......

The politicians weren't looking for free healthcare. They were looking for the power that would go hand-in-hand with taking over a huge industry.

Except when doing nothing is the better option. And that's IF you can say the government was doing "nothing", consider how much it was interfering in the healthcare industry to begin with.

 

That's true. But my point was that while the average lazy person looking for a handout thought this was a good idea from the standpoint of "free stuff", the politicians behind it were most likely looking at the shiny new government influence they will get as a result.

President Obama has said on numerous occasions that heatlhcare costs are going up regardless of what is done or not done. It is a matter of degree. Under the Democrat healthcare package they go up less.

You may not know this because you are covered under a government funded healthcare plan. But we in private industry are used to paying higher and higher premiums for healthcare each year. I is nothing new to us. And the rates you cited seem pretty reasonable.

If you care to do any reading Obama and the Democrats have decided that at a minum, if you make $250,000 a year, you are rich and you are going to pay more in taxes to make it up for everyone who make less than $250,000 dollars a year.

I repeat my challenge to your mr. buffalo roam where did you get the notion that the rich were going to be tax to pay for healthcare for everyone? Probably the same place where you got the false notion that Democrats thought healthcare reform was going to give them free healthcare.

Now show me where Democrats or the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office said that the money raised by letting the george II tax cuts for the rich expire would be used for healthcare?

In fact the opposite is true, the healthcare reform law passed by the Democrats is self funded and is projected to save over a hundred billion in the first ten years and a over a trillion in the second ten years for passage.

No the bottom line is the Democrat healthcare law is a deficit reducer...not expander.

I don't know where you live, but those prices don't sound all that high to me. I pay around $700 a month with virtually no income (because I have too), and I believe my parents were paying around $1500 before they switched to super crappy insurance so that they could pay less. My understanding of Healthcare reform was that it would be more accessible to everyone for lower overall cost, not that it would magically be free.
