I think he just needs the USA to state it will NOT attack/invade NK ( first strike). That if any first strike military action was to be taken it would be via the UN and be a UN sponsored alliance.
I think Kim would be happy with something like that....
Trump of course would not let it go.
As currently being demonstrated in IRAN, the population of NK will ultimately determine whether Kim stays in power or not...
An uprising in NK is entirely possible and to be blunt, inevitable due to the severe oppression his rule has and is generating. Just a matter of time...

Nope, Kim would simply demand more. Kim would be happy with only absolute submission.
Exactly what Kim does not want, so he needs to manufacture conflict to rally his people under him.
Yeah been waiting decades, turns out a population as starved and tormented as NK does not seem to be in an uprising mood... love to be proven wrong though.

It fails to address one major point IMO.
That is it really is a numbers game to Trump and others.
First strike argument:
If we strike now only a few million will die, if we wait and allow NK to arm up, many more millions will inevitably die. We must take away their Nuke capacity now...
- Defined as inevitable by paranoia and a serious loss of good will due in the main to Trumps bullish behavior.
Trump fails to appreciate that the world primarily functions under an umbrella of "good will" and "good faith", with out which there is no hope of a peaceful co-existence in the future.
Trump has constantly acted in ways that inspire terrorism or terrorist activities and is more a threat to the world than the NK's could ever be. IMO
Trump only has to tweet something stupid about the South Korean leadership ( winter Olympics offer and ongoing talks with NK) and the USA may find itself booted off the Korean Peninsular altogether...
