Yeah, Nebula seems to be recruiting quite a few followers, enough to rival my Clan of Luxans! Even though next to none of them post......
Hmmm....maybe it's time to establish a court, I don't doubt that there are other cases that have resulted in unnecessary bannage. *yoda voice* meditate over this, I will.

oh, wait...i remember...somebody on another board suggested this board...I was looking for news on the internet about space topics. At that time this was a news site with a forum as a side thought. It has changed a lot since I first came here, there are still those interesting thoughts and topics. Discussions come with viewpoints that make me stop and re-examine why I think this or that way and is that still valid in light of new information. This is still a great site.
Well I heard about it from Pollux and joined up, but I think I'll leave now that I have to pay for it.

i just surfed in once and this caught my attention. i set it as my home page but i downgraded to internet explorer 1.1 with no address bar, back/foward/reload bottons so here i am never to leave agian. but it's nice here NO it's Not!! shut up, yes it is Nooo!! I wanna leave!! I'm gonna kill you you little bastard!!AAAHH!!...AAahh!!..ahhhhh.... there back to tranquility

My last online community went to hell. Were talkin popups, crazy people, SEX on every forum. I had to get away from all that so I started looking for a new one. Found sciforums and I couldnt be happier.

i found this forum once when i was looking up stuff for a school project.. and there was this guy on there.. Captain something... he used to talk pages and ages about cocanuts and gov't.. the guy was lost. but every now ad then he made sense ina funny way.. they finally hust it down.. but man. that guy was a riot to debate with.. cuz he always replied.. it just never really made sense... lol

Why am I here?
Well, I accidentally "discovered" this forum during one of my random surfs and, after lurking for a while, I realized that there were many and varied, not to mention intelligent and well versed (mostly) opinions and views throughout this forum. I knew then that I wanted to belong to this community and immediately registered. Since then, I have received help on various tech problems, participated in scifi discussions, etc., and have been warmly welcomed by many of the longtimers. It's great to be able to reach around the world and learn new things at every turn.

Well, I accidentally "discovered" this forum during one of my random surfs and, after lurking for a while, I realized that there were many and varied, not to mention intelligent and well versed (mostly) opinions and views throughout this forum. I knew then that I wanted to belong to this community and immediately registered. Since then, I have received help on various tech problems, participated in scifi discussions, etc., and have been warmly welcomed by many of the longtimers. It's great to be able to reach around the world and learn new things at every turn.

I have known about this place for a while, but not until recently have I really paid too close attention to it. There are actually a lot of topics that I am interested in on here, which is basically what draws me to this place. I chat on almost every other medium possible (IRC, MSN, RL) so I am trying to find new things and new people to discuss with.
Was it him or was it my nagging? Yes I know I am kind of hypocritical!

i was trying to find proof that photoreading was fake.
i finally found it here.
then i decided to answer the riddles in the riddle thread, but i couldnt unless i register
so i had 2 go through all that jus 2 answer 1 silly riddle.
why is it so appealing?
-free (no membership fee)
-no ads
-no pop ups
-did i mention no membership fee
-fast interface (most forums take forever to load and dont give out as much statistical info like times and amounts of posts etc.
some forums take hours or days before your post is uploaded onto the board)
-short posts (some forums have nothing but long drawn out paragraphs in every post that takes a hell of alot of research to get information in order to reply to them.)
-did i mention no membership fee
-frequent posts (some forums see 1 post each day)

lol, are you talking about that silly infomercial, where the guy photo reads a book and then answers all the questions correctly? that infomercial is a load of laughs.
well, the comcepts they advertise on what I saw were possible. "Improved reading perception". I wont argue with that. But I'll agree with you its far fetched, in fact I think I improved my reading more just by their idea than the program actually would have.
There was more than one infomercial, but on the latest one, this guy reads a book on a computer. The host of the show simply hold the down arrow on the scroll bar. Its hillarious! He then correctly answers several questions (which he had NO idea of before hand) ....right
